Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am thankful that The Great One and Joanie got to have a play date.  Also thankful I was able to get an appointment for Sammy at the vet because he is pulling at that tummy fur again and his back legs. He is back on Apoquil and also got an antibiotic injection.

Here he is posing with the crocheted octopus and octopus catnip mat that I made for Cat Scouts. Any Scout that completes the class by Friday is entered to win these ( Sammy not included).

We are joining  poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided:

A kid used to love a pogo stick

hop like a bunny quick, quick, quick.
Now one only wants a cell phone
Heaven forbid they are in a dead zone.
I am glad The Great One is still too young, but sadly, it won’t be long until she will want one.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

    1. Thank you. Actually , he has to for a few days until the meds kick in. XO

  1. Glad that Joanie and The Great One had a play date! And that Sammy could see the vet and hopefully, this will make him all better! Cute Octopus and cute poem! XO

  2. Purrs for Sammy. Maybe sitting on the octopus mat will help make him feel better.
    A little catnip can’t be bad 😉
A cute poem and a true one!

    1. Thank you. If I had one, I would have been on the ground with broken bones. XO

  3. The octopus is very cute! Poor Sammy… wish there was something that could make what’s bothering him history. Yes, it’s a shame about cell phones. I never see kids out playing anymore… is it phones and tech stuff?

    1. Thank you. I wish I knew, I think it is a food allergy, but he needs to be on a prescription food for hypercalcemia. XO

  4. Play dates are great fun. I’m happy for them.

Poor Sammy. I hope the vet can get to the bottom of this.

    Love the poem.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Thank you for co-hosting the fun.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches all around and healing lovies to Sammy. ♥

    1. Thank you. It takes a while for the meds to kick in so he is still coned. XO

  7. Poor Sammy, i am glad he has such a good Mommy to get him to the vet quickly.

Love the poem! Yes, it would be nice if children would continue to want fun ways to play outdoors instead of just having a phone.

  8. I have to jot down the fill in’s so I can add it to my Friday post. Sure is nice to visit you. Lots of fun with the felines even though they need constant care and attention. You are sure a good provider for the fur babies. Hope all will be well.

  9. Love the poem too! I saw afew that were cute too. I dislike that today technolofy has taken over. I was raised on fresh air and fun. Outdoor fun! Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. I didn’t realize your sweet Uncle had Apoquel too. Thank you, you are too sweet. XO

  11. Bear did that too – he licked his belly and inner legs until he had little fur there. Oddly enough, he stopped around the time we got Ellie. Maybe he was just bored?
