Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

My kitties are thankful for this Cat Amazing Sliders puzzle toy we won from Dezi and Raena way back in December. It took me a long time to get it put together because of all my sick kitties in December and January.

It is a bunch of boxes with holes in them. Kitties have to work hard to get the treats out.

Sammy loves it.

Troubles loves it too.

We are also joining  Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt provided by Teddy’s mom.

Cleaning the attic is tough work
enough to make one go berserk.
If you haven’t needed it in a year
toss it all and give yourself a cheer!
I would never toss anything away that could be useful to another. I would donate it or leave it at the end of the driveway for people to take.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Glad that kitties got to use that prize!
Pipo has a smaller version of it…and I think we should put it in out attic, MOL! He won’t use it at all, even if I douse it with nip…

Love your poem, very true. I need to attack my closets…since I have no attic and we cannot use the basement as it is a so called Michigan basement with a stone foundation, and floors that used to be plain pressed w=down dirt,..UGH.

  2. TBT hasnt gone up in the attic for 4 years. It was sealed by a company that improved the house insulation. He would have ta unzip the opening above the ladder. But he would like ta put down a floor up there and store stuff.

We hope there aren’t hornets or something up there!

    Meanwhile:

    1. I won’t pay more than fair for stuff.
    2. The last car I bought was a 2005 Toyota Highlander.
    3. I recently had the opportunity to get scammed. I declined.
    4. Dinnertime is cause for celebration.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Your car is newer than mine, mine is a 2004 Elntra and I need a new one soon.
      Glad you didn’t get scammed.

  3. That looks like a fun puzzle box – glad some of you are enjoying it. Also you did a great job on the poetry challenge this week – attics are fun but I suppose they can turn into a mess easily…..this particular attic is neat and orderly and contains a WHOLE lot of memories! Thanks for playing poetry with us.

    Love, Teddy

  4. I love that puzzle box! How cool! We don’t have an attic anymore since we moved to an apartment, however, we have a garage and yikes! We’ve been decluttering little by little.

  5. That looks like a fun prize.

Mom says it’s good we don’t have an attic….she’s got enough stuff to go through just in the house and garage!!

  6. That looks like it would be a rather complicated assembly, in all fairness to you. ~nods~ But I remain sad over your losses. What a rough time. ~hugs~ Be well, my dear. And thanks for sharing photos of your sweet kitties enjoying this challenge.

  7. Working hard to get your treats is a good thing. It’s also entertainment for mom.

Love your poem. If there are places that unused items can go it’s the attic. Glad I don’t have one.

I’m all ready for the friendly fill-ins. Great questions.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  8. What a fun treat dispensing toy! I bet my boy Evan would love that sort of thing. He loves digging at things to get treats, so it seems right up his alley. And your poem is as clever as ever! It reminds me of how I still need to clean out my garage. I can’t wait to see your fill-ins tomorrow! Purrs!

  10. Looks like the kitties had a wonderful Thursday. And the humans are happy when the kitties are happy, so it’s a win-win.
Have a fabolous Thursday, see you tomorrow.

  11. Da Boyz think everything in the house is a puzzle, needing to be investigated, opened, sniffed, and pawed!
The idea of going through all of our stuff is why The Hubby and I are still in our ‘temporary’ home, that we moved to in 1991! HA!

  12. Dat box puzzle looks so fun!!

Mama are jelly of your attic space ours is nuffin like dat and you might bonk your head if your stand up tall 😉

    xoxo,
    Matilda & Matt

  13. What a great poem. We don’t have an attic which is good thing since the Mom would have all kinds of junk in it. Bet that was fun though to go through all the stuff. Have a great day.

  14. Glad the kitties are having fun with the toy! I once made a homemade treat puzzle for Samantha. She was not impressed at having to work for her treats. LOL

  15. We had a maze at one time. Then Shoko got too many treats….she’s really clever. Anywho, the maze was taken away as Shoko was getting fat. You look lijke you understand it too, Sammy.

Your poem was excellent and its true…..if you haven’t used it in a year, out it goes.

    Tyebe

  16. I am really glad you like the toy. It looks so much fun and I reckon it will keep you busy for hours!
