If you let your cats outside then you should check this list of plants you should not have in your garden from The Daily Gardener. And everyone should have The ASPCA website bookmarked. They have an extensive list of toxic and non-toxic plants for cats and dogs.

Mom is very careful about checking plants and bushes and shrubs before putting them in our yard. It is amazing how many plants are poisonous to pets.
