Thankful Caturday

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and The Ten Things of Thankful Blog Hop too.

I added a frame to Emmy’s photo. KaTwo loaned her this hat, she wants to know how she looks?

And for #PMT photohunt @tonkstail “Opposite”

The opposite of on is off- this is one of Phoebe’s bloopers from the 4th of July.

Now for my ten thankfuls

  4. Fresh blueberries which make fantastic muffins.
  5. Spendingย  Wednesday and Friday with my Mom.

  1. #4 No blueberries here, but TBT ate 2 big handfuls of ripe blackberries picked from the wild back yard.
#7 We dont get “real” celery here, but the plants provide lots of tasty leaves and he likes those better.
#8 We love airconditioning. The house is 72 F all year round. Whether it is really cold or hot outside, it is great to come inside.
#10 We love reading yer posts!

    1. Blackberries are good too. The celery leaves are good too ๐Ÿ™‚ Our a/c is at 75 degrees, I would have it at 72 if I could, but my hubby won’t let me. Thank you, I enjoy your posts too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. You had Mom at ice cream party and fresh blueberries! She’s now hoping that something similar turns up for her, too. Well. She should be more concerned about OUR treats.

  3. Love Emmy’s hat! She’s a good hat model…….an ice cream party sounds like fun – I’ve not tried it yet but everyone tells me it’s VERY tasty! Happy Saturday!

    Love, Teddy

    1. Teddy, you would love ice cream, I hope you get to try some. XO and love to you and your Mom.

  4. That hat looks good on you Emmy. That is one great list of things to be thankful for. Especially the central air conditioning. Have a good day and stay cool.

  5. Mom Ellen, Misty May wears a calming collar. Lots of us have worn them through the years, but none of the rest of us seem to need them anymore. We think Misty May just likes hearing Astrid scream. Phoebe’s blooper hat photo is what most of Lily’s looked like when Mom was trying to get her to wear her red hat. Mom is going to try again to get some photos. Emmy did a wonderful job modeling her hat. Super cute. Hope that A/C is keeping you all cool. Even with A/C, Mom has started to fade badly with each continued day of heat and humidity. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

    1. Emmy thanks you. We are all keeping cool and it is set at 75 which isn’t that cool. Poor Astrid, maybe if she wore a collar , it would calm her and she wouldn’t scream. XO

  6. Emmy looks adorable! Love the hat.

  7. What a nice list. I didn’t know allergy shots were still a thing. They never worked for me. My arm swelled up like a softball back in 1989. Ugh… The hat is great! And the blooper photo is, too. Thanks for sharing. ~hugs~ Hope you are well.

    1. Sorry your allergy shots didn’t work back then. Maybe they have improved them , my arm usually hurts a little, but never swells.

  8. Emmy, you look good in any hat! And, Phoebe, your blooper made us MOL! What a purrfectly timed shot that was.

Your list of thankfuls is wonderful. We got our delightful mat and toys from you in the mail, and the kitties cannot get enough of them. I will be posting photos soon! Oh, and the catnip you use is some amazing stuff. Thimble especially adores it. (And I myself love the chemistry fabric you used for the mat, as I work as a lab tech in a chemistry lab.)

    1. I am glad your package arrived , thank you for helping Phoebe’s purrince help ferals. I remembered you wrote you worked in a lab so I just had to get that fabric for you when I saw it. We grow catmint instead of catnip ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. You have wonderful things to be thankful for! Emmy looks great in her hat!! Love and kisses to my sweetheart Penny. Please tell her I’ll be in touch more often after the BIG MOVE!!’

    1. Emmy thanks you and Penny sends big kisses. We all wish you the best of luck with your move. XO

  10. Emmy looks adorable in the hat.

I’m very glad your allergy shots are working. I get them too because I’m apparently allergic to Florida (at least its wide variety of airborne pollen). It was hectic having to get a shot every week, but now, I’m down to once a month, which is nice…. and I don’t sneeze and gasp, while gardening.

    1. Emmy thanks you. I had to go twice a week last summer, but I am on once a month now too ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Lots of good things to be thankful for. I love it.

Have a purrfect day all you kitties. My best to your peeps. โ˜บ

  12. You look very cute with the hat, Emmy. Yours was very nice too, Phoebe, not a blooper at all ๐Ÿ™‚ Concatulations to Brian for the win ๐Ÿ™‚ Pawkisses for a Happy Caturday ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

  13. Ice cream party sounds fun! Yum!
Glad allergy shots are working well. It has worked for my husband well, too ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you. Emmy is ll settled in, she doesn’t really hang out with the others, but she is around us a lot -especially when we are having dinner ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Emmy is lovely in the hat, Phoebe’s outtake is funny, and i can hardly wait to hear about what you won.

  15. Icecream party for mom, interesting idea, I’m always looking for something to amuse my mother. And the hat, marhvelous.

  16. Emmy, you look pretty cute in that hat.
We would most likely toss it off like Phoebe.
That is a good thankful list.
We are happy is is a bit cooler and a dryer breeze today as well ๐Ÿ™‚
    Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ

  17. Emmy,
You look Catastic in that hat. I love Phoebes outtake. Too good to be an outtake.
    Yael from Playing In Catnip

  18. My peeps feel that way about tomatoes. Once you taste ones right out of the garden, it’s hard to eat store bought ones. Emmy is so cute.

  19. I love blueberries! No doubt the muffins are fantastic ๐Ÿ˜€
I’ve never had fresh celery so can only imagine how good it tastes. There is nothing that can stand in for garden fresh vegetables!
AC is a very wonderful thing:) I feel very lucky to have it, especially these last few days. Summer is in full swing for sure lol

  20. Emmy sure made a lovely hat lady picture! And we had a giggle at the hat off picture, MOL!!

We don’t have any berries that we pick each year from our woodsy area in the back of our yard…the frost got them all. Sheesh, that means none for birds either:(
We mostly had blackberries, and mulberries. There are plenty of honeysuckle berries for the birds though.

Ice Cream party? Count me in! MOL!

And howevfur did any of us survive before there was A/C??? My Mom would make a bed up for me in the basement, where it was quite a bit cooler:)

I am glad those allergy shots are helping.

    1. Emmy and Phoebe thank you. I love mulberries, we have a tree that we cover to keep the birds out, but it doesn’t produce much. XO

  21. Emmy thee hat toe-tallee suitss you! An Phoebe gurl yur 4th of July foto iss heelareeus! Mee LUVSS you so-o much mee Purrincess!!!

  22. I thought I left a comment here for you yesterday and it seems to have disappeared, it’s so frustrating when that happens. Arrggghh! So I will leave another because I want you to know how much I enjoyed your TToT post!

Emmy looks adorable in the little hat, all four of mine are more like Phoebe and will quickly get rid of any adornments I attempt, maybe it’s because I make the mistake of laughing at how cute they look! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is perfect icecream party weather, what a nice treat surprise! Muffins made with fresh blueberries are the best, and now you have me wanting some! I’ve never had celery fresh from the garden, but I know that everything tastes better home grown, even the eggs we get from a neighbor’s free-range chickens.

Congrats on the prize package you won, and the book from Goodreads, too! It’s always fun to actually win something, no matter how old we are!

You are so blessed to still have your mom with you! I am glad you can spend time making sweet memories together, and also that she loves your furbabies and comes to take care of them when you go out!

I wish Papa Bear could stay home with me, when he is home on the weekends and evenings, we spend out time together too. That’s what best friends are for!

Central air is indeed a BIG reason to be thankful! I don’t know how we survived those hot summers as kids, I remember some nights being pretty miserable when it was so humid in South Dakota and never seemed to cool down.

I am glad for you that the allergy shots are helping. Allergies are so miserable and make it hard to enjoy things we love… flowers definitely get to me now, and kitty dander does too, but I live with it because I love them more than anything.

Just like you, I am so thankful for those who share TToT posts and especially those who take the time to read the ones others write and leave a comment, that’s the whole point of blog hops… sharing, and encouraging each other! Blessings to you in the week ahead, make it a good one! XOXO

    1. Thank you for taking the time to write your comment again, I will check and see if it ended up in SPAM. Sorry about that. Also thank you for responding to each thankful. I am truly blessed to have much to be thankful for. Growing up we had a/c in the bedrooms, but I am spoiled now with central air. I hope you have a great week too. XO

  23. Aha. Ice cream, books, and blueberries for making baked goods with. Lots of time with loved ones. Nothing better.

  24. An ice cream party sounds like a lot of fun!
I’m glad you are able to spend time with both your hubby and your Mom. That sounds a lot like my life.
I’ve never eaten celery other that what I am able to buy at the store. It doesn’t grow well in our soil.
I’m glad your allergy shots are working for you.
    Cute photos of your kitties.

    1. The ice cream party was fun. I am blessed to have my Mom and hubby to spend time with.
