Rome at Home and No Need to Knead are both cookbooks by Suzanne Dunaway. I have been following her kitty LouLou’s blog for over a year and once in a while she posts a great recipe so I figured it was about time to check out the cookbooks. I haven’t had a chance to make anything yet, but I will as soon as I get done with Phoebe’s crown. I am planning to make English muffins and a French baguette from No Need to Knead. I also want to make potato gnocchi recipe in Rome at Home.
Phoebe already has 12 names collected for the sunglasses to travel. She is still taking names and will display the badge tomorrow. This is going to be fun. Now I must go finish Phoebe’s crown or I will never hear the end of it.
Happy Monday everyone! You all know how we love to hop, well, this week we are hopping on Monday too. Inspire Me Monday is a fun hop hosted by Create with Joy to display your creativity. If you are looking for some crafts and recipes be sure to check it out. I had fun torturing dressing the kitties for Thanksgiving photo shoots this weekend. I crocheted little pilgrim hats for them.
I found the instructions on Ravelry ( I combined 2 patterns). I have one pattern on Ravelry that I designed for the catnip turkey legs. Here is the link in case you want to crochet some.
Phoebe will be starting a giveaway Thursday that includes a turkey leg and a pilgrim hat .
Another hop I have been wanting to join and finally remembered is: The Friday 56 is a fun hop, you turn to page 56 of a book you are reading ( or 56% in a reader) and pick a line. I haven’t been reading as much this past month since my beloved Lucy has been gone. We had started to read My Street Cats Their Personalities and Social Behavior by Raphaella Bilski . Here’s a line from page 56 even though we only got to page 48: “One harsh winter day, we heard the fierce cries of a kitten.”
Spooky and I want to recommend a book too. Usually Lucy is in charge of books, but Spooky is feeling better and he looks so much like the kitty on the cover:
The Good, the Bad and the Furry by Tom Cox is the third book about the author’s cats. I read the first one and loved it, I haven’t read the second one, but I plan to. This book finds the author recently divorced and adjusting to life with the cats he kept in the divorce ( his ex took the younger 2 that were bonded). Most of the book is humorous stories about life with multiple cats including strange cats entering through the cat door.
See you tomorrow for more hopping.
