Hi everyone! As you know we love to hop so today we are joining 3 of them. First for Comedy Plus Awww….Monday , I have a photo of Sammy posing with some books I am reading this week.

The books are our entry for The Book Date’s  It’s Monday! What Are You Reading ? As always, I am reading several books, but I wanted to give these 2 cookbooks a shout out because they were written by LouLou’s Mom.

Rome at Home and No Need to Knead are both cookbooks by Suzanne Dunaway. I have been following her kitty LouLou’s blog for over a year and once in a while she posts a great recipe so I figured it was about time to check out the cookbooks. I haven’t had a chance to make anything yet, but I will as soon as I get done with Phoebe’s crown. I am planning to make English muffins and a French baguette from No Need to Knead. I also want to make potato gnocchi recipe in Rome at Home. badge

And last, but not least, I am joining Create With Joy’s Inspire Me Monday Hop. This is a fun hop that includes craft projects. recipes and so much more.. I thought the button art would qualify. DSCF1488Inspire Me Monday

Phoebe already has 12 names collected for the sunglasses to travel. She is still taking names and will display the badge tomorrow. This is going to be fun. Now I must go finish Phoebe’s crown or I will never hear the end of it.

  2. Mom knew Loulou’s mom had written some cookbooks. She loves cookbooks and is going to look into getting at least of of them. Let us know if you try any of the recipes. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  3. You are so much fun. As always, you did great, keeping this all together! I have been out doing yard work, and seem to have little time for anything else, these days! Do you find that true?

    I am trying to sort out some health issues, too. Endless. Hugs, my friend.

  6. Meowmy: Hmmm,we just had our late after evening church service supper, but now I am hungry again!
    Except we don’t eat breads and grains most of the time,MOL!

    WBS mews: Work on that crown now, Phoebe needs it:)

    Meowmy: No time for any long walks today…though the weather was pawrfect! Maybe Tuesday, as I have to go to work tomorrow. Oh, mostly I average 3 1/2 miles or more at my work…no need for outside strolls on my working days, MOL!

    It will be fun to see how P & M look in those shades…tee-hee!

    1. That is a lot of miles clocked at work- wow! MJF can try the shades too, but they might be too small. 🙂

  8. Mom refuses to cook so I will recommend these books to my Auntie! Hmmm – will the crown be traveling as well?

    1. Good idea for the crown to travel, but this one is paper so it wouldn’t survive.

  10. I love to bake and cook, and to experiment with recipes overall. These cookbooks sound great. I’ll definitely have to check them out.

    Now, you best finish that crown so that lovely Phoebe can show it off. I know I for one can’t wait to see it!

  11. That girl is going to be so happy when gets her crown. Our mom started a new book series – Ali Brandon’s Black Cat Book shop mysteries. Hamlet is a gorgeous housepanther who watches over both his home and the bookstore, and looks after his hoomin. It’s a cute series.

    1. I will have to look into that series, it does sound good- usually anything with a cat is great.

  19. Mommy says da No Need to Knead cookbook sounds wonderful. She luvs da breads and bread stuffs. MOL Phoebe be a lucky girly to have such a talented mommy. Me told mommy me needed a crown when me ascended from princess to Queen of our house too, but she just laffed. Hmmpht. Have fun.

  20. I would like to know if you try any of the recipes. I love trying new dishes. Much to hubby’s chagrin. LOL

    Our reading hour consists of the 3rd book, Accidental Angel, in the Black Cat series by Elaine Faber. This book is the best of the three books and very hard to put down.

    1. Same here- my hubby doesn’t like new recipes, but sometimes he is pleasantly surprised. That sounds like a good series, I love anything with cats-as long as it doesn’t make me cry.

  30. Oh, my, mama just about fainted this morning when she read your blog over my shoulder! She was smiling all day and snuggling me and wishing she could make crowns with your mama and hoping SO much that when YOUR mama starts to cook from MY mama’s cookbooks, she will feel free to email with any comments or questions at all because mama loves to hear about what happens in other kitchens, PLUS. even I make focaccia, which is really the bread to start with because it is so easy and will fill your mouth with the taste of Italy. So thank you so, so much for liking mama’s books. I have to say that crown or no crown, you are one of the most beautiful creamy-colored kitties I have had the pleasure to meet. And the crowns are temporary, remember…just humor your mom.
