Sunday Selfies

Hi everyone! I am a day late for Sabi Saturday, but here is my entry. (Sabi Saturday is a hop where you show something old, repurposed or upcycled.

We have repurposed a lot of screen doors for use inside the house. This is one in the kitchen leading to the hallway. We had to come up  with a way to separate cats and allow heat and air to pass through the doors.

Joanie and Gremmie wanted to do the selfie for today.

We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.

  1. That is a great idea for keeping heat flowing, but cats not. I applaud your ingenuity.
Awww, Joanie and Gremmie posed well together for their selfie, I wonder what they had been discussing?

  2. Great use of that screen door. Mom has thought of doing that between the living room and kitchen. Joanie, we sure wish you had shown your pretty face to the camera. Nonetheless, we appreciate you hopping over to see us and our visit with Moo. 3. What a great way to repurpose the screen door!
I love Joanie and Gremmie’s selfie. So cute 🙂

  4. Pawsome selfie Joanie :)>
We have a screen door to the kitchen, but we don’t us it any more.
We did when there were a lot of cats here at one time.

  5. Screen doors are great! I did that when my daughter was a baby. I added one to her room so the cats wouldn’t go in and climb into the crib. Worked wonderfully! Joanie is adorable. Is she a calico? Hope you’ve enjoyed a lovely weekend xo

    1. That was a great idea too. Yes, Joanie is a dilute calico 🙂 I had a nice weekend- I hope you did too. XO

  6. Joanie. I enjoyed seeing you again today. Have you seen your grammie lately? Any treats?

    1. Yes, Grammie is still good to us, but not as good as when Phoebe was here. XO

    1. Thank you. That must have been a pain- glad you got it back. 🙂 XO

  7. I love how you upcycle screen doors like this. I use a lot of baby gates at my house, to keep cats and a dog from certain areas when needed, but I’m thinking a screen door or two could also solve some problems. And hello, adorable Joanie and Gremmie!

  8. Joanie, look at the camera!
We have screen doors inside too; they keep Da Boyz from the kitchen, and from Angel’s Apartment upstairs, should they ever get past our other defenses…LOL!

  9. That’s a great idea!!! I bet they are cheaper than some of those gates too, which can be a pain sometimes.
