Over the years, I have lost many rabbits, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish and hermit crabs too. I felt a loss over each and every one of them, but one in particular truly broke my heart.

My KaChoo was my first official cat, I adopted her in 1994 when she was a kitten. I used to always tell her she had to give me 20 years, but it wasn’t to be, she went to the Bridge at 16 and a half. We were very bonded and I will always miss her.

My hubby had a cat when we got married and she lived to be 19, her name was Patches, but he always called her Ratchie – I scanned a photo of her, but it is in an Adobe file and as you all know, I am technologically challenged.

We also lost Brina in 2011, she was a 3-legged tortie persian that I adopted from my sister when she was already older.

And beautiful Barney left us is 2013 . I pray we don’t have any more loss for a long time. I don’t know if there is an actual rainbow bridge or not, but I know all these pure souls would go to Heaven.

  3. Yes it sure is hard when they have to leave us.
    We have 4 angel kitties. Groucho, whose RB day was yesterday many years ago, Suki, Simba and Toki…all meezers like us, a chocolate, a seal and two blue points.DSending lits pf hugs.

  8. For me it is tough to look at photos like that. There is too much illness and death around. I put the stories and photos of my earlier cats on a special blog page. People look at it. You could do that with this post here, if you wanted. Then it would not scroll away into oblivion but be available for all to see easily whenever. Just a thought. It is one page I do not want to update. Try to keep happy thoughts. It is sad to remember mine, but those were happy days in many respects when they were here. Perhaps I will call attention to remembrance day, or maybe not. . . .

    1. Yes, KaChoo was my heart kitty, but so is Lucy and Sammy and Phoebe and Joanie- all very special. You are very special too and Phoebe sends you all her love too. You 2 sure are having a long vacation. XO

        LadyMum told mee Simpson was speshell because shee was her ferst kittygurl.
        Silky-Auburn was speshell because shee ran away frum her home to live with LadyMum!!!
        Aunty Mingflower was LadyMum’s ‘dot-her in fur’…so shee was berry speshell. An Aunty Nylablue was LadyMum’ss heart kitty because of her health problemss. LadyMum has fond memoress of so many kittiess….
        An shee says mee iss speshell because mee iss her ONLEE kittyboy! So mee will allwayss be speshell 😉
        As fur Purrincess Phoebe an mee beein gone fur so long it has been a lot of fun butt wee wood bee happy to come home soon!
