Penny’s Tips Volume 63

Hi everyone! Today’s tips are for you kitties to share with your humans. Are they home all the time now cutting into your nap time? I have some great free ideas to keep them amused while you get your much needed naps.

Many humans are stressed right now, my folks included. Here is a link to some free meditations. My mom tried one and made it for 6 out of the 14 minutes, believe me that is good for her. These are from Gabby Bernstein, mom has read all her books. Click here

Do you have those little sticky people around your house? Here is a link to some educational activities to go with children’s books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Brightly has free materials for all kids baby-teens. Click here.

Does your human love to read and is all upset that the library is closed? Here is website to borrow books to read online. It is called Open Library. Click here

How about a checklist to help your human declutter? Remind them not to touch the cat toys though. Click here

May your families all stay healthy.

By the way, I am winning the lap war 🙂

  1. Penny, such good tips. Our mom is used to being home 24/7 because of Sawyer. And our humans are retired, so don’t go out too much. Dad does the shopping. Though they are used to being at home, we think they are going to get bored sooner or later. Thanks for the link to the book site. 2. Thanks so much Penny for the great tips with links! I’m using the meditation link and the open library link! Blessings of health to you all, Deborah

  3. Great tips Penny, we can sure use some pointers as we try to weather this staying in one place! Here’s hoping everyone stays safe!

  4. My human does guided meditations every day. She found a young woman on YouTube named Mary Kate who does some really good, life-affirming ones.

  5. Great tips again, Phenny! We meditate for many many years, it’s especially good for everyone to do it during these days of uncertainty. I think 6 minutes out of 14 minutes is a great start😸 Now take your laptime and meditate…MOL😸Pawkisses for a Peaceful Tuesday🙏Stay Happy Healthy and Yourselfie🐾😽💞

  6. Oh what great tips today Penny! Having our humans at home more than usual is nice when it comes to available laps right? I’m not a lap cat – I’m a “lemme go outside on the front porch pretty please” cat. My peeps are wanting fresh air so I’m getting more out time. It’s a win for me. I hope you all continue finding things to do AND staying SAFE too!

    Hugs, Teddy

  7. Penny, you are a darling. Loved the tips today.
And I will head straight to the Open Library!

  8. Oh Penny, Manny and Chili Bruce agree with you…humans are cutting into their napping time! Usually, I can lay down with them for hours, but I’m working from home and have to slave over a hot laptop instead of being a human cat bed. Such indignities!

  9. Great tips, Penny! My humans are retired and used to being at home. They watch TV and are on the internet most of the time and I watch the birds out the window. I get rowdy every once in a while because my humans need their exercise. MOL. Signed, Callie. 😸

    1. My folks are always home too and I make sure they cater to my every whim- I hope yours do too. XO

  10. Great tips as always. I love the open Library the best.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  11. Hidey ho my friends
Great tips…I am trying to keep my mind occupied….and only looking a the weather channel for news. They do mention the virus but no quite as often as local stations
    Hugs cecilia

  12. Penny, thanks for sharing these wonderful tips. These will help with many people who are at home and not coming out until this is over and hopefully soon. You are winning the lap war as we can see. We hope you are all doing well and enjoying the best being at home. Have a great day.

  13. Little sticky people and lap war made me giggle. Thanks, Penny. And I’m so glad Drake is happy, though sorry his former humans acted thus. Be well and stay safe!

  14. Penny, thanks fur the tips. This is definitely a good time for humans to catch up on their reading and to have storytime with us pussycats. Stay healthy. Kisses.

  15. None of the grands are around here. Their parents don’t want to take any chances with our peeps. But they do a lot of facetime chatting.

Mom uses Axis 360 for our local library and finds some great books for her Kindle app. She is going to take a look at Open Library too.

Hope you are all coping well with the world’s chaos.

  16. I will have to pass these reading tips on to a girlfriend of mine who absolutely loves to read. Thanks for sharing and take care of you ya hear! Don’t take any chances.

  17. Penny, you are a source of great ideas!

OPen Library, that sounds like a good way to spend at home hours, well, after *she*gets bored with being on social media, MOL!

She went out today to try and take advantage of the (very early) senior shopping hour at her fave grocery store. Bad mistake! It was even more crowded than say at Christmas time…sigh…and the shelves were almost as bare as the last time she was in there,. Don’t think it will be much better if she goes there tomorrow at 7am, for the
essential workers shopping hour. (for health care and first responders, etc.) Maybe she’ll try that one day next week…and just stay home to cater to the three of us! MOL!

    1. Thank you 🙂 Sorry your store was so crowded. We have been lucky around here and able to get most things- even toilet paper. XO

  18. Penny, you are so sweet to help us stressed humans out! And if I’m being honest, I’d kind of like to be a fly on the wall during lap wars at your house. Did you have to fight Rosie off of your dad’s lap, Penny? Purrs!

  19. Good job on the lap war. Humans just don’t understand our amazing ability at defeating the enemy with the words. Purrs, Snoops and Kommando Kitty
