Penny’s Tips Volume 50

Hi everyone! It is that time of year when Mom tortures us, I mean lovingly dresses us in costumes for Halloween. Last year we were all characters from movies. This year, we are going to be from television shows. There will be a contest to see who can guess all the shows.

Do you have your costume yet? I have some ideas if you don’t. They all have a penny in them.

1. Penny from Big Bang Theory- just toss on a blonde wig.

2. Pennywise the Clown from It- Chewy has a costume available for that

3. Penny Dreadful- Go as a character from that show- I can’t believe anyone would put the word dreadful after my name though.

4. Coin- go as a real penny. Just be careful because everyone will try to pick you up for good luck.

5. Henny Penny- Dress as a chicken and run around telling everyone the sky is falling.

OK, that is all I’ve got- can you think of any pennies I missed?

    Spend a Penny…go as a yellow puddle…um…maybe not, MOL!

    Since petcretary hardly watches tv…and never really has, she will not at all be able to guess most of those shows…oh well!

    Penny, it looks like you awanrt to wash some of those costumes!

  2. Well, if you were to give out an award for getting ALL the shows wrong, that would be my human! She doesn’t watch any TV shows, except for the half dozen episodes of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (she is looking forward to the new season!). Our TV doesn’t get much use other than for exercise videos and occasionally TCM.

  5. Good job with all the Pennys……can’t think of any you left out either! Fortunately for ME, my Mom doesn’t dress me up in costumes at Halloween….she does remember one year telling some kids who saw Angel Sammy with Mom at the door one Halloween trick or treat that Sammy was actually a DOG in a cat’s costume! Silly Mom…….tee hee.

  10. I never dressed up my kitties or pups. I just never could bring myself to do it. It’s cute when someone else does it though.

  13. Penny, we’re happy to report that Mom learned her dress up lesson with the cats before us. Poor Olivia had to suffer one year as a princess, but that was it. (Oh, and we guess she forced a Halloween sweater on William when he was very very little.) Mom can’t even make us wear pumpkin hats!

    I don’t know how one would make a costume for that, but it’s the first thing that popped into my head that had the word penny in it, Penny!

  20. Great tips! I never heard of #3. How about Penny Marshall from Laverne and Shirley? TW only uses the tv for Yankee games so I doubt we can play.

  22. Penny, can you give the kitties here tips on dressing up? The only one remotely willing to put a costume on is Toby, and he just freezes and refuses to move when he’s wearing it. Pup Astrid sort of cooperates, but only if her costume is a cape, and nothing else. That being said, your suggestion of Henny Penny had me laughing! What a purrfect idea!
