Penny’s Tips Volume 148

Hi everyone! I am enjoying one of the many levels of my kitty condo. Mom has agreed to leave it in the kitchen. She moved it out of her way the other day, but Dad and Grammie told her it was upsetting me and made her put it back in the middle of the kitchen. I win!

This month we celebrate Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving so I want to offer you some tips for both.

We are most thankful to all our veterans for keeping us safe. I found a blog called iveterans.org with a big list of restaurants offering free meals and discounts to veterans on Veteran’s Day. It includes places like Chili’s, Denny’s and Applebee’s. To see the list, click here.

and Military.com has a list of stores offering discounts, like Kohl’s offering 30% off to all active and former military personnel. For the complete list, click here.

And for Thanksgiving, I found some free coloring pages (for kids and adults) for you on the Happiness is Homemade Blog. Click here.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Great tips!
We have two stores here, that I know of that have military (and first responders) discounts available. (Ollies and Big Lots)

Penny you must truly be worthy of that tree/condo in the middle of the kitchen.Maybe your Dad can fashion a table top so it will also be people friendly, and you’re still cozy inside. Hmmm…as if…LOL!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 My tree is 6 feet tall so it would be too tall to be a table. XO

  2. Wonderful tips for veterans and others, too. And we LIKE your blog today but the LIKE button does not register us…so we’ll just say it, WE LOVE YOUR TIPS.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Sorry about the like button. A few others have had trouble too. XO

  3. Penny, we are THE ones in the household…that the entire household revolves around. We make it worth it to our parents though.

  8. I just hope your mom never trips over the cat tree with something hot in her hands, that’s all.

I’m glad to read about the restaurants and stores giving discounts or freebies to Veterans on Veteran’s Day. They are our heroes.

  9. Mudpie’s beloved pizza box (now 2+ years old) lives in the kitchen too! It’s good exercise going around it 🙂
