Penny’s Tips Volume 129

Hi everyone! I was tricked. Mom said whoever picked the shortest straw had to write today, but there were 3 of us and only 2 straws.

Being that the 4th of July is coming up, I thought I would make something patriotic.

I made a tissue paper flower in red, white and blue. All you need is 3 colors of tissue paper, scissors and a pipe cleaner or wire. You cute the paper into squares ( about 10 inches by 10 inches). You need 6 of one color, 4 of another and 2 of the last color.

You stack them then fold them like an accordion. Then tie it in the middle with the wire.

Then you puff it up.

And if you are lucky, you can keep a piece of tissue paper to play with.

  7. While i noticed yesterday that you didn’t have a straw, Penny, i thought it was because yours was the short one and i just wasn’t seeing it, i had no idea there wasn’t one. That is rather tricky.

Either way, you did a great job and i’m very glad to see you posting!

  8. So very pretty, and yes, we hope you were rewarded with a piece of tissue for yourself!
