Penny’s Tips Volume 109

Hi everyone! I am back. Did you miss me? My last post was June 21st.  Before I tell you what I have been up to, I will give you a Rosie update.  She has eaten too many squeezies lately so when she climbed the pole, it toppled almost taking out Sammy, Brody and the tv, but all are safe.

Now, back to me. I haven’t been just lounging around for my vacation. I have been studying.

Mom has this small collection of stones. I know she has an amethyst and a hematite.  I have been reading  the series of Crystal of the Week on Bionic Basil’s Blog. Their mum has an incredible collection of beautiful crystals. To read about some of  those, click here, here and here.

I also signed up for some free Courses on Gemstone Therapy from The Gemstone Therapy Institute. If you are interested in their free classes, click here.

  1. Good to see you back, Penny! Very interesting about the crystals! I’m glad everyone is okay because that pole took quite a tumble! XO

  2. Wow, what a crash that must have been. Did you all get spooked?? We had one like that when Minko & Pipo were kittens, and it came loose from its moorings and fell on the dinner table…LOL! Nothing on it though, Phew!!

Gemology was a passion of our Opa, he was actually a Graduate Jeweler and a Certified Gemologist…plus his trade as Watchmaker/clockmaker. He had his own shop. I bet he would find the therapeutic use of gems and crystals interesting. He once did a presentation of the Gems of the Bible. There actually quite a few!

Study hard, Penny! Good to see you back at your postings:)

    1. Yes, everyone was spooked. Sounds like your Opa was knowledgeable. I would have enjoyed that talk about them in the Bible. XO

  3. My human used to love gemstones and crystals in the 1990s. In fact, she still has a bag of them in her desk drawer.

  4. Good to hear that everycat is OK.
Bet it was scary when that tower fell over!
That collection of stones is impressive!
WE do not have anything like that here in our home.
Mum should look into that 😉

  5. So good to see you Penny. That must have been scary, seeing the pole topple over. Glad no one was hurt.

  6. That’s a good way to spend your time, Penny! Stones are relaxing and interesting. I have a couple and when I am worried I like to take one and hold it my hand and gently rub it. I’m going to need it with another probable tropical storm headed our way… sigh.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That is a good idea. We will pray you stay safe from the storm. XO

  8. Charlee: “Yikes! Timberrrr! We are glad to hear nobody got taken out by the falling pole!”
Chaplin: “Looks like sabotage to us. Have you seen any ninja hedgehogs lurking around there holding hacksaws?”

  9. Penny it is so good to see you and Basils Gemstones are so great. Find a good one for us while you are looking. And maybe one to curb Rosie’s appetite MOL

  10. Penny, i do miss your tips. Free classes are always a great resource, thanks for sharing when you find them!

  11. Glad Rosie and the TV are ok. That was a close one. Who knew kitties can be such quick jumpers that the tree toppled over. Love the photos and always love my visits here.

  12. Oh dear, we are glad that Rosie and the others are all OK – that must have been a scary moment for Mom. And thanks for telling us about those precious gems. Mom loves learning about things like that.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  13. Oh oh, time for fewer treats and more exercise. Tilly is the same way… she’s getting a bit round. We like gemstones – more for wearing than anything else.

  14. Working with Chrystals is very inspiring. It’s unbelievable that they’re all hidden in Mother Earth and that we’re walking on it every day😸Enjoy! Glad you’re back, Penny😸Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞

  15. Hope everyone was okay after the little accident!
I have a few stones that are really pretty, but don’t really know much about them.
Hope your day is going good. <3

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I bet Basil’s blog would help you figure out what they are. XO

  16. WOW – I bet when that cat tree fell down it woke the whole house up! Good thing nobody or nothing was hurt. Crystals are beautiful – it would be a fun thing to collect for sure.
