Hi everyone! I decided I would write today being that Phoebe is still off somewhere with The Meezers.
Some of you may have heard that I am a grump, but I want to clarify that. This is me eating my dinner, I like to take my time: Now look at what I have to deal with:
Vultures in front of me and above me. These piggies eat their food very quickly and then want mine. I can see why Grammie calls Joanie a piggy. And by the way, I love my Grammie too, I am just not a suck up like some kitty.
By the way, Phoebe asked me to post this:Very much!
I will see you tomorrow when we review another great book written by Sammy’s Mom (https://onespoiledcat.wordpress.com/ )
Lucy, I think you need a private dining area where you aren’t bothered by all those furry vultures.
That would be nice.
We agree with Raven. Take your time. Don’t rush. β€
I try, but the vultures annoy me.
I think that’s how Sparkle must have felt – she was a very picky eater and Binga and Boodie would hoover their food and go after hers if they weren’t being watched!
Poor Sparkle, I bet you do the same to Binga and Boodie now π
A slow eater? We ain’t got one of those.
MOL! Especially when bacon is being served.
If you can’t have your own private dining room (!) then just ignore all the criticism, take your time, and enjoy every morsel…..who cares if the vultures are hovering – as long as you don’t let them bully you out of the way, you’ll get your meal in your own time on your own terms! YAY! I hope your Mom and all of you kitties liked the book of fables my Mom wrote……….it’s my favorite.
Love, Sammy
We love the book so far, we have a couple more stories to read. π
Now Mom knows why I eat so fast! When I was a kitten at a foster I had greedy siblings!
Ohhh Mom loved that book by Sammy’s Mom! We reviewed it a couple of years ago! Love, Cody

I think Joanie and Sammy must have been starving before I got them from the shelter because they have always been like this around food. I wasn’t reading blogs back then, I missed so much.
I used to get the same with Eric! He used to inhale his food then try and eat mine.
Poor Flynn, I am sure you miss Eric even if he did do that.
I agree too sweet Lucy, private dining sounds purrfect!
I wish π
I agree too!!!!
Thank you π
Our neighbor’s cat comes along and tries to bully Patty and Sweetie too, by growling and creeping closer, closer…
I try to draw the cat away by putting a bit of kibble in another place, but now he’s wants food every time I feed my friendly ferals!
It’s a conundrum…hope you are getting enough to eat, Lucy! You are a pretty kitty!
Lucy has gotten very picky about food. I think we are going to visit the vet soon to check her tummy.
Cats are difficult with foodd- when they know they can get a snack, there is no keeping them away.
Lucy I can see why you might feel nervous eating. My sister tries to eat off my plate too, I’m a slow eater as well.
Lucy says she hopes you give them a whappy paw like she does when they get too close π
WE do not get our dinner served on the chesterfield in front of the TV! We have to eat out in the kitchen like the rest of the household staff!
You poor deprived kitties- that isn’t right.
lucy…we iz crackin UP !!!! wait til phoebe heerz what ewe said π β₯β₯β₯β₯
I am not worried- everyone fears me π
Carmine likes to take his time eating, too, but Milita gobbles her food up and wants to steal Carmine’s. I watch over Carmine so Lita doesn’t steal his dinner from him.
Good idea to police them while eating. We try to, but if we get distracted for a minute they know.
Several of us around here don’t like to eat either with others lurking around us, so the Mom tries to feed us separate as much as she can. TAke care.
That must be hard with so many of you- kind of like here π
I definitely agree with Raven. You need your own dining area!! We know you’re not a suck up, but I think Grammy is kind of sweet!!
Lucy loves her Grammie -they all do π
You and Mudpie would get along splendidly…she eats very slowly too!
Lucy is getting pretty picky too.
We know about the food-vulture! Iza eats her food fast an then looks around fer more. She shoves her nose into my bowl an TBT has to gently push her away. Ayla eats so slowly that SHE has ta be fed up on the top of the show rack where Iza cant get to. ~ MARLEY
Marley, you are a big mancat, you can handle Iza. π

Grammie will be thrilled to know you brought big blue on the trip. When are you coming back? Lucy can handle the vultures, she rules with an iron paw π but, thanks for the offer. XO Sending you both lots of love.
It’s nice to see you, Lucy. I know about vultures. Wally sits and waits for me to walk away from my dish so he can eat the rest. Sometimes he even pushes me out of the way before I’m done! ~Ernie
Some kitties have no manners.
