Friendly Fill-Ins Week 394

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. A Christmas pet peeve I have is ______________________.
2. I don’t like spending money on _______________.
3. I eat my fair share of _________ this time of the year.
4. I _________ when wrapping Christmas gifts.
My answers:
1. A Christmas pet peeve I have is Christmas lights. Every year we have a problem with them. Our tree originally had the kind if one goes out, the rest stay lit, but they ended up almost causing a fire so we replaced with the regular ones that always burn out.
2. I don’t like spending money on beverages. When I go out to eat, I always get water which is what I have with meals at home too.
3. I eat my fair share of bad for you foods this time of the year. Chocolate, cheese, chips, nachos- bring it on. 🙂
4. I watch The Family Man when wrapping Christmas gifts. One of Nic Cage’s best films.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from December 2014. Angel Phoebe was the original owner of the earmuffs to block out my singing.

  1. Absolutely love the photo of Phoebe. Don’t get me started on tree lights. None of the lights on my three year old tree worked this year. And changing fuses didn’t help. Had to put strings of lights on atop the ones that didn’t work. Total aggravation. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I would have done that, but hubby insisted on removing the old ones that were attached with some clips. Took hours. XO

  2. Good fill ins and adorable picture of Angel Phoebe! And ahaha, I used to sing around my cats and they probably wanted ear muffs, too! XO

  3. That would have been scary to almost have a fire, Yikes!

I often just have water, too, though I do like my coffee, LOL!

    1. A Christmas pet peeve I have is all the craziness around the commercial side this to me most sacred holiday.
    2. I don’t like spending money on my shoes that I wear at my work,, since I wear them out so very fast. SO I get gently used ones at the local thrift stores, I might buy three or four pairs at a time if they have good ones, LOL!.
    3. I eat my fair (actually way more than my fair share, LOL!), share of baked goods this time of the year.
    4. I like to listen to Christmas music from about 1650 to 1800, when wrapping Christmas gifts.

  4. HAHAHAHA…..so that’s what the earmuffs are for!!! I drink water often at restaurants too – I don’t like soft drinks and water does the trick just fine for quenching thirst. Good job filling in the blanks as always! Don’t get me started on eating bad things this time of year – it seems to be part of my “tradition” to do that and it’s one tradition I look forward to!!!!!

    Hugs, Pam

  5. Love that photo of your Angel Phoebe with the ear muffs, though she certainly doesn’t look too happy! Regarding your #1- dad just says over and over “don’t even get me started on yard inflatables”. And lights- even newer LEDs don’t seem to last all that long these days.

  6. I know just what you mean about Christmas lights. I finally gave up on the ones I had had for a decade and broke down and bought new LED lights. It was expensive to make the switch that it’s been worth it every year since then.

  7. That is an adorable pic of Angel Phoebe. Christmas lights are real pain and it seems they should last longer since we use them only once a year.

  8. Angel Phoebe photo… priceless♥ Had no idea your signing of Christmas songs is a thing! I am an only water drinker too. Except for wine at wine time.
    My Fill-Ins~
    1. A Christmas pet peeve I have is that it is too peopley.
    2. I don’t like spending money on tires!
    3. I eat my fair share of Christmas cookies this time of the year.
    4. I am thankful I use decorated bags with tissue now instead of wrap when wrapping Christmas gifts.
    Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

    1. Thanks for these great answers. I just said to my mom the other day in Marshall’s that it was too peopley. 🙂 I prefer bags too unless i get my hubby to do the wrapping. XO

  9. Pawesome fill-ins today, and definitely the same on buying beverages while out, can mew believe a cup of coffee is like £4.50, like what the fluff is that robbery with violence!??? MOL
Happy Friyay to mew all, and we hope mew have an epic weekend!

  10. OH Phoebe! How sweet to see you again. And I approve of the earmuffs because *I* wish I had some too. You ought to hear MOM!

  11. 1. A Christmas pet peeve I have is Christmas before Thanksgiving.
    2. I don’t like spending money on Starbucks or other coffee houses.
    3. I eat my fair share of comfort food this time of the year.
    4. I buy gift bags when wrapping Christmas gifts.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I never buy Starbuck’s and I do a lot of gift bags too. 🙂 XO

  12. Phoebe looked like she was a DJ rocking away the new year. Very cute.
Ditto to the water away and at home.
    Hugs Cecilia

  13. Sweet flashback of Angel Phoebe. If you can’t eat all the delicious bad for you things at Christmas, when can you do it!

  14. Phoebe was a doll. ~hugs~ You spread so much joy, Ellen, all year long. 😀 Have you seen “Renfield”? I don’t recall if we’ve discussed this but I understand it’s fabulous. I understand that Mr. Cage portrays a really fun over-the-top vampire. The film’s on my watch list.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 And thank you for your kind words. I have not seen that- even Nic Cage can’t make me watch a vampire movie. I never saw the other one he was in either. I was scarred for life when my aunt let me watch Salem’s Lot when I was a kid. XO
