Friendly Fill-Ins Week 388

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My November to -do list includes ______________________ and ______________________.
2. I was busy doing _________________________ 20 years ago.
3. _________ is a challenge I often face.
4. I’m proud to say that I overcame _________.
My answers:
1. My November to -do list includes bringing Brody to his cardiologist appointment and Christmas shopping.
2. I was busy doing a lot of things 20 years ago. My niece lived with us so I was busy carting her to and from school and dance lessons. I was also a tutor for the high school and a CCD teacher. And of course, cats, I had about 12 back then.
3. Dealing with crowds is a challenge I often face. Even with anti-anxiety meds, I don’t like to be where a lot of people are.
4. I’m proud to say that I overcame my fear of the dark. I was afraid of the dark for a long time, until about 10 years ago.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from October 2014, Angel Spooky posing with my stuffed black cats.
There were three of you who guessed 6 out of 7 costumes correctly . The answers were: Marilyn Monroe, Penny from Bog Bang Theory, Goldilocks, Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, Cousin Itt and Jimmy Buffet.
The three that got 6 were Crystal, Darla and Eugi. And the winner is Crystal.
Thank you all for playing.

  1. Congrats to Crystal! Wow, you were busy 20 years ago, Ellen. Balancing all that activity is impressive. Darling picture of Angel Spooky. XO

  2. Angel Spooky was brave to be with all those other kitties, MOL!

Sometimes I wonder how we were able to do all the juggling of so many things when there were youngsters in our homes. Multitasking in its finest form, somehow..

    1. My November to -do list includes getting ready for the holiday season and trying to find time to finish the cleaning up of the yard, which hubby can no longer safely do.
    2. I was busy being the mom to 2 high school age sons who often needed this or that and sometimes needed to be driven somewhere, not having cars of their own 20 years ago.(And I still hadn’t started the work I do now…)
    3. Worrying about my cancer returning is a challenge I often face.
    4. I’m proud to say that I overcame feeling embarrassed about not having hair during my chemo…I just wore a scarf/hat or went bare headed, giving up on the ugly and hot wigs I had.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am sorry you had cancer though and pray it won’t come back. XO

  3. Well, Ms E, mama does not like crowds either and thinks it is SANE to feel that way!
Especially now with the c-word still lurking around…and some things that go bang in the dark are really going BANG! (Mostly windows or doors, haha, nothing to fear). And I do NOT like thunder!!!!

  4. You’ve always been one busy lady! Having a lot of kitties to take care of AND your duties as Auntie Ellen keeps you on your toes. You always have time for everyone though which is amazing. That photo of Angel Spooky with his fellow black kitty brigade is adorable!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  5. you you are as busy now as you were 20 years ago. You still have children around even if they are your great nieces, and you have lots of kitties. You know we’ve got Brody on our mind here coming up very soon.

  6. You were very busy then and now! That is a lovely flashback with Angel Spooky and the stuffies.

  7. Wow, my wrong guess was WAY off. But I never watched the *Bog* Bang Theory. ~giggle~ Thank you for the fun challenge. And hugs, my dear, as always. 🙂

    4. I’m proud to say that I overcame smoking many years ago.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. XO ♥

    1. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. I hope you can get the kitty inside soon. Some shelters let you rent traps, maybe that could help. I am glad you quit smoking. XO
