Friendly Fill-Ins Week 356

Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My favorite character from a film, tv or book is ____________________.
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is ___________________.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you _________.
4. _________ will never compare with _________.
My answers:

2. The one word I would use to describe myself is quirky.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you to rescue a cat- you will never be lonely and will always be loved.
4. The music of today will never compare with classic rock from the 1970’s and 1980’s.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from March 2015, Angel Lucy in her bunny ears.

  1. Good answers, Ellen! I’d probably choose quirky to describe me too! And I so agree about rescuing cats, as well as the older music being better! XO

  2. I like your fill in amnswers.

I love Sheldon, too. He’s such a character, and he reminds me a lot of a nurse I used to work with, LOL!

    1. My favorite character from a film, tv or book is Snowy and TinTin.(A whole series of books (and we have almost all of them), for mid grade and older children, and a film was made of those characters as well.)
    2. The one word I would use to describe myself is stubborn.
    3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you be kind, Pray and use all your talents.
    4. Modern music will never compare with the classical music of many years ago. (esp that of about 1650 through the mid 1800’s.)

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I don’t think I would want to work with someone like that. 🙂 I will have to look into those books when my great nieces get a bit older. Excellent advice. XO

  3. Oh, those darling ears on sweet angel Lucy. Mama says also music from the 60s, as did another blogger, so we’ve covered 60s, 70s, and 80s! I heard this through the grapevine, haha. And I don’t know anyone who isn’t a bit quirky somewhere!

  4. Cute picture of Angel Lucy. I agree about the music of today. My favourites are 60s and 70s, but I think it depends on which decades you grew up in.

  5. Add me to the list of people who are proud to consider themselves quirky! Agree about the music of 70s and 80s. Good advice in your #3. Angel Lucy’s sweet face♥

  6. OH are you EVER right about the music of the 70’s and 80’s. THAT was the music! That stuff in the east 20 years is noise and unpleasant at that. I filled in over at Teddy’s place.

  7. Adorable pic of Angel Lucy. My favorite character in a film is Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing. I consider myself quirky and quaint. Rescuing animals is a wonderful thing to do. The music of today will never compare with classic rock from the sixties, seventies and eighties. Happy Friday!

  8. Quirky is a good thing and one of these days i need to figure a way to watch one episode of Big Bang Theory, or part of one, just to see what it’s about.

Lucy was a sweetheart and looked great in the ears.

Thank you for joining Feline Friday!

    1. I like being quirky. I hope you can see an episode- maybe get it from the library. Thank you. XO

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. A hug to you and scritches to all the kitties. ♥

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I like the Jack Reacher tv show based on the books. Great advice. I agree about Miracle Whip- my hubby bought some by accident and it is awful. XO

  11. Great answers. I love The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon is a fun character. I didn’t participate this week, but I’ll be back next week.

  12. I love quirky! Love your answers and Sheldon was in a class by himself. Do you watch Young Sheldon? He could drive you right up a tree! Always a pleasure to be here. I posted my fill in’s on both blogs. Now if I could get my comments to post…hmmm….I am not the nerd I thought I would be!

  13. I enjoy the fill in’s so much and feel bad when I miss doing them. A goal I have for May 2023 is to post daily at least M-F. I am always enjoying your shares here. All the fur babies too. You had some excellent fill in’s. Made me smile. 🙂

  14. Ellen…I retired from the Physics department. I worked with grad students and professors just like everyone on Big Bang Theory. Even had one identical to Sheldon. And it is 100% true the physicist are always picking on the Material Science Majors (like Howard). Since I lived in my own purrsonal Big Bang Theory 5 days a week, I didn’t start watching it until after I retired.
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. My hubby’s sister worked at MIT way back in the 1960’s and she described them the same way. 🙂 And my hubby is s sci fi geek and a mechanical engineer so I see a lot of him in them. XO

  15. At least once a week I’ll say to The Hubby; ‘someone should kill Sheldon!’
We catch one show every day, usually before Jeopardy starts.
Then, that’s all the TV I have time for.

  16. I’m totally with you on numbers 2, 3 and 4 “2. The one word I would use to describe myself is quirky.
    3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you to rescue a cat- you will never be lonely and will always be loved.
    4. The music of today will never compare with classic rock from the 1970’s….(except….I would add the 60s to the 70s and 80s)……
    xoxo

  17. All your answers are fun! I’m quirky, too, and proud of it. LOL Yes, rescue a cat. It’s life-changing. And my favourite music is from the 70s and 80s. xo

  18. Those were great answers and we’re with you on the last answer. Nothing really compares to the earlier years of mewsic, with only a few exceptions for us😸We have to look into Sheldon, because we don’t know him🙈 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Monday to all of you…oh…and we’re in now too🐾😽💞

  19. Lucy, you were adorable. I miss you, as I know your humans do. 🙁 Ellen, your answer to number one shocked me. I thought you’d pick a movie role from Nicolas Cage, for sure. In fact, I’m going with Stanley Goodspeed from “The Rock”. lol Be well, my dear.
