Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

My answers:
1. My favorite holiday tradition is our annual party. It was on Christmas Eve for 25 years, but now it is before so more can attend.
2. On Christmas I plan to fill up on the Polish soup,Zurek. My hubby makes it with his family’s recipe. It is an acquired taste.
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring except me getting up to go to the bathroom every 2 hours.
4. Letting people know you care is the best way to spread holiday cheer.

Terrific fill-ins Ellen. I can relate to them all, but especially #3. I’ve not had Zurek
For a long time. I always liked it. Snowball was such a cutie. Keep being awesome.
Thank you. 🙂 I wish you could come over and have some. XO
I agree with your answer to #4! Angel Snowball looked so precious! 🙂 <3
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Trying this out again, fingers crossed!
Thank you. 🙂 XO
I had a Polish friend whose mother made a special soup at Christmas. They called it blood soup. It was made with duck (I think) blood and had raisins in it. It was too foreign for me so I didn’t try it. I looked up your soup and it’s something different.
I don’t think I would like that soup. It took me years to like zur. 🙂
I couldn’t get over the word “blood” and that they actually use blood. I think it had a savory sweet taste from the dried fruits.
I wouldn’t be able to get over that either.
Dear Ellen I have so very much missed you post and all the kitties this week.

Like Cecilia said so well, you have been missed this week. I checked out the Polish soup and I have no doubts that Jerry and I would waste no time filling up a bowl. Definitely be dunking bread!
Angel Snowball looks like a floofy white snowball… such a good picture♥
Here are my Fill-Ins today… hope they make it!
1. My favorite holiday tradition is fried potato cakes the morning after Christmas day
2. On Christmas (or Hanukkah) I plan to fill up on mashed potatoes and gravy.
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house I could hear somebody snoring and it wasn’t a mouse.
4. Being kind is the best way to spread holiday cheer.
Thank you, Ellen!
Thank you for these great answers. My hubby used to snore, but he lost some weight and now he doesn’t. I like the idea of friend potato cakes. Have a wonderful Christmas. XO

Thank you. 🙂 I am glad you can visit now too. Merry Christmas. XO
Some traditions are difficult to explain to others; just do them and enjoy!
Good point. XO
Zurek sounds interesting, but definitely an acquired taste. I’d be interested in a meatless version, but that might not be considered acceptable. 🙂
Yes, it can be meatless. We used to do meatless on Christmas eve when I was a kid. XO
Fun fill-ins, as always. And Angel Snowball is simply adorable. xo
