Friendly Fill-Ins Week 282

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My go-to place to purchase ______ is _________________.
2. _______________________immediately improves my mood.
3. I think _________ is really spooky.
4. I wish I had a magical potion for _________.
My answers:
1. My go to place to purchase greeting cards is The Dollar Tree. Their cards are Hallmark ones made for them and only cost 50 cents each. I just can’t see spending $5 on a card no matter how much I love someone.
2. Spending time with The Great One and/or my cats immediately improves my mood.
3. I think the sound of coyotes yipping is really spooky. I usually shut the window when I hear them.
4. I wish I had a magical potion to make cats live longer.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

My flashback is from October 2015, Angel Phoebe was admiring my TARDIS pumpkin

  1. I get my cards by the box at a flea market in Indiana, they average about 10 to 25 cents each, much better than the $$ others charge, though sometimes I will buy them at our supermarket, they have nice cards for $2. I too wish for magic potions like you mention…elixir of life it should be called…and more to cure all those nasty illnesses that both peeps and pets have to suffer with.

  2. Hi Ms. Ellen – I didn’t have a chance to include these in my post, but:
    1. My go-to place to purchase treats is Chewy.
    2. A nap immediately improves my mood.
    3. I think Chucky is really spooky.
    4. I wish I had a magical potion for healing everyone.

  3. Love your fill-ins. I like #4 the very best.

    Angel Phoebe is most adorable.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. xoxo ♥

  4. I agree with fill in #4!
I thought it was too good to be true. I commented yesterday and wished your mom a happy birthday and could actually see the comments using my Android instead of the PC. The trouble was that the ship internet was so slow that my comment kept timing out! I did try though and will be back to regular commenting from today.

  5. Ellen,

I enjoyed reading your fill-ins. I always enjoy spending time with DH and it’s a special treat when I can visit with my kids. 🙂 Hooting owls or squeaky floor board was frightening to me when I was little. Sometimes when I hear unfamiliar sounds at night I get a spooked.

  6. Your #4 is much better than mine. If only cats could live longer although then we’d really have a problem with shelter cats if no one could adopt a new cat to replace one at the RB.
TW started buying greeting cards at the dollar stores cos cards are too expensive. We don’t have a Dollar Tree. We just got a Dollar General which is practically completely empty. TW got to finally go in there this week. She doesn’t get out much.

  7. #4 is the most perfect answer ever! And I totally agree with #1. I buy all my cards at the dollar store. Actually, I do as much shopping as I can there! (Although the way things are going it’ll probably be the $5 store before long.)

  8. Dad says he’s right there with you on your #4 answer. Mom and dad pretty much get their cards from the dollar stores, too, and they’re just like you in that they don’t see the sense in paying crazy prices when the cards you get there are not much different. Hope your weekend is fun and relaxing!

  9. The sounds the coyotes make really are eerie! We had a couple pretty close to our house not too long ago and I was pretty freaked out!

  10. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I’m definitely going to have to try The Dollar Tree for greeting cards. For some reason I’ve never thought of going there for cards, but it makes total sense. And I agree so much with your #2 and #4!
