Friendly Fill-Ins Week 240-Happy New Year!

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My focus word for 2021 is ___________________.
2. I didn’t get to ____________ this year, but I hope to in 2021.
3. The year 2020 taught me _________.
4. _________ is one of my biggest goals for 2021.
My answers:
1. My focus word for 2021 is focus. I need to learn to focus on one thing at a time so that ping pong ball in my head will stop bouncing.
2. I didn’t get to the dentist or eye dr. this year, but I hope to in 2021.
3. The year 2020 taught me that our government can’t keep us safe. I can’t believe it took so long to stop travel when the virus first started.
4. Sprucing up my home is my main goal for 2021.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

Here is a flashback photo of Angel Phoebe toasting in 2015. Her little glass has a P on it for Phoebe- I still have it in the dining room hutch.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year!

    (almost…)

    1. My focus word for 2021 is relax. I get so tied up in the things I need to do…sometimes I get stressed out.
    2. I didn’t get to travel to my sister and cousins this year, but I hope to in 2021.
    3. The year 2020 taught me that I shouldn’t take anything for granted. cause one never knows what lies around the corner…(maybe that is a good thing!)

  2. Happy New Year to all of you.
I am nearly a year late for my eyes check up too. Also my dental bridge fell out the beginning of May and I am still waiting for when it is safe to have it fixed. At least no-one can see the big gap in my teeth with my mask on!

    1. I guess masks are good for something other than protecting from the virus. 🙂 Happy New Year!! XO

  3. All the best to you and yours Miss Ellen as we begin a new year ~ with the hopes and dreams of so many of us waiting to be fulfilled. May yours be healthy and good in every way. Fondly, JUNE and Ann

  4. Well kitties your Mom sounds serious with her new years fill-ins. We were very disappointed that things got as bad as they did before the world addressed the virus – now look at us! Still in a big mess! Oh well – let’s hope 2021 is BETTER in every way!!!!!!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. My focus word for 2021 is stillness.
    2. I didn’t get to see a dear friend this year, but I hope to in 2021.
    3. The year 2020 taught me to look for the good no matter how little.
    4. Living my life without anger is one of my biggest goals for 2021.
Let’s have some happy and peace in this new year!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Stillness is a nice choice. There is usually something good in every situation- sometimes it is hard to find. Wishing you and Jerry a happy and healthy new year! XO

  6. Aww, what a sweet Angel Phoebe Toast photograph. Dad’s had his eyes and teeth addressed this past year and has some work done in his gob and new goggles for his, umm, aging vision. He’s not getting any younger, and mom says we gotta keep him as healthy as we can to keep him around as long as we can tolerate him. The old guys says his answer to all of the above questions is Hope. That’s it. Hope. H.O.P. E. All CAPS. Simple. Happy New Year!!

    1. My hubby is 15 years older so I am the same way with making him go to the Dr. Hope is a great choice. Wishing you a happy and healthy new year! XO

  7. Happy New Year and that includes you Angel Phoebe. XX

    1. My focus word for 2021 is continuing gratitude for what I DO have.
    2. I didn’t get to go over the Mountains last year at all. I sure hope I will THIS year.
    3. The year 2020 taught me what I already knew, yes, but rubbed it in thoroughly.
    4. Keeping on my 2 feet is my biggest goal for the new year.

    1. Thank you. Happy New Year! And thank you for these great answers. Great focus word. I hope you get to go over the mountains this year. XO

  10. Loved your answers! I’m not sure what my focus word would be for this year but ‘hope, gratitude and tranquility’ would certainly be up there! Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best in 2021. xo

  11. CALM is good! I love that photo with the ‘P’ glass and that you keep it in your hutch – good memories are a part of NYE and that is a sweet memory..

  12. Your Fill-in answers ROCK! We love Pheobe’s photo!
2020 wasn’t the best year of our lives and we are totally looking forward to a positive 2021. It’s time to forget what was and gear up for a new beginning. Here’s wishing you all a very happy and prosperous New Year.

  13. Thoughtful answers. The peeps did make it to the dentist but I didn’t make it to the vet. What a cute pic of Angel Phoebe. Warmest thoughts and best wishes for a Happy New Year. May peace, love, and prosperity follow you always.

    1. I went to the vet more times that I want to remember. Thank you. Happy New Year! I wish the same for you. XO

  14. Ellen we have like minds….the ping pong starts in mine when my head hits the pillow.
I’m trying different things to put an end to that game. LOL
Last night was a ping pongless night.
    Hugs Cecilia

  15. Oh my purrfect answers for sure! Wishing for you and our planet and better and more peaceful place…..may common sense prevail.

  16. Charlee: “Our Dada says he hasn’t been to the dentist in over a year now and hopes to get there this year too! He was supposed to go right around when California shut down, but canceled the appointment, for obvious reasons.”
    Chaplin: “Because he’s chicken?”
Charlee: “Umm, I think the word he used was ‘prudent’ …”

  17. I didn’t get to the dentist either and I really need to. I’m pretty sure I need a crown put on, I keep fiddling with a tooth. Happy New Year!

  18. Hurricane Katrina was when I knew we might need to be able to take care of ourselves. Here’s hoping we all have a much happier 2021 and can leave 2020 and all it’s unpleasantries in the rear view mirror.

  19. Great answers, Mom Ellen! Here’s hoping 2021 is way kinder to all of us. Happy New Year, sweet friends!

  20. Happy New Year!! Without getting into politics here, our gov didn’t want to keep us safe, because they didn’t want to admit there was a problem. I fully expect these policies to radically change very soon.

  21. I think focus is a perfect focus word. I often have ping pong ball bouncing around in my head as well, so focus is crucial. Many blessings to you, your human family, and your kitties in 2021!
