Friendly Fill-Ins Week 192

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the kind words you left for me on the loss of Millie. We miss him so much.

Now it is time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link ( see below) to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I am particular about __________________.
2. My _____________ is ___________________.
3. _________ is a moment I will never forget.
4. Have you ever heard of _________?
My answers:
1. I am particular about what movies I will watch. If I am going to invest in the time to watch a movie, it better be good or at least have Nic Cage in it.
2. My Sammy is taking good care of me. I think he knows how sad I am so he is with me almost constantly.
3. Sitting next to Alec Baldwin is a moment I will never forget. I apologize if I sound like a broken record to those that have been reading my blog a long time. For anyone who doesn’t know, I was an extra on 30 Rock in 2008 and Alec Baldwin sat next to me during a filming break. I could not speak to him though, extras are treated like dirt.
4. Have you ever heard of Stumptown? It is a crime drama that started in September. We just started watching it and are really enjoying it.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

For my flashback, I have a short video of Millie from 2 years ago. He used to love to steal our jackets off the back of chairs.

  1. I think Granny would have fainted when she sat next to Alec Baldwin…MOL… What a lovely video of your sweet angel. Granny loves it when kitties steal everything from what’s not theirs😹Soft Pawkisses for a peaceful Weekend🐾😽💞

  2. Loved seeing and hearing Millie…

    1. I am particular about the kinds of concerts I go to, as well as the music I listen to.
    2. My hobby is collecting military drummer figures…of all sizes.
    3. The two times I my cars were totaled are moments I will never forget.
    4. Have you ever heard of a glass harmonica? (It makes a pretty sound and there is even real music written for it.)

    1. Thank you. And thank you for these great answers. I have seen some of your collection in photos and it is beautiful. I have not heard of a glass harmonica- sounds interesting. XO

  3. Millie was such a beautiful boy and I think the “jacket game” was as much fun for YOU as it was for HIM! FUN fill-ins – and thanks for co-hosting – we look forward to Fridays.

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Sweet video of Millie. He knew just how to make that jacket stealing happen! SSNS likes Stumptown. My Fill-Ins…
    1. I am particular about where I park our car, Olive. The palms drop a lot of heavy bark in all the parking lots around town.
    2. My neighborhood is a preserve with lots of beautiful birds and lots of AllieGators, too.
    3. The first time we saw our ZCat is a moment I will never forget. She was the bestest kittie♥
    4. Have you ever heard of Tim Tam cookies?
    Thanks Ellen!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I would be particular about that too if I had palms near me. I bet the birds are nice- the alligators, not so much. ZCat must have been very special. I have not had or heard of those cookies. XO

  5. Ellen,

That’s cool that Alec Baldwin sat down beside you. I’m sure I’d be a wee bit shy to speak to him but I’m sure my excitement would over power my brain allowing my tongue to wag like a silly person to the actor. lol We’re pretty particular about what we watch but if something has a shot of entertaining us then we’ll try it and if it doesn’t grab us within the first 30-mins then we abandon the movie to move onto another possibility. We view most of our content now via streaming. It’s been at least 2-years since we’ve both any movies. Why bother when it’s so much easier to stream and it doesn’t take up any space in your home. That’s awful that extras aren’t treated nicer. Those people help to make those actors/actresses the stars that they and shouldn’t ride around on a high horse least they step in a pile of road apples which they’d most certainly deserve if they are snobby. Shame on you Hollywiedrers! Thanks for hosting the funtastic Friday hop, my friend. Sending hugs & love to you!

    1. I would have talked if allowed to. We haven’t been to the movies since the last Star Trek was out. XO and love to you.

  6. Meowser Ms. Ellen…. we ALL miss our dearly departed loved ones, but I have confidence that Mr. M and the others will teach Millie how to be an excellent guardian angel.

  7. First I have to apologize for not remembering to do the fill-ins yesterday. I’m so sorry about that. To late now. I’ll do better next week.

Millie was quite the little jacket snatcher. Cute and such a fond memory.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug, Ellen. ♥

  8. Well that sure is exciting that Alec Baldwin sat next to you. I would have been speechless. Too cute, Millie dragging the jacket off the chair. The kittiesn around her drag all the towels off. You have a good day Ellen.

  9. Your fill-ins are as fantastic as ever! I agree on being particular about movies. If you’re going to invest something like 2 hours of your time, you might as well enjoy it. And your Sammy is such a sweetie, and I’m glad you have him to look after you and keep you company. It must have been something to sit next to Alec Baldwin, but it also makes me feel perturbed that extras are treated so poorly. Most movies can’t be created without extras. And I’ve heard of Stumptown! I’ve only watched the first episode so far, but I quite liked it. This memory of your Millie is so sweet. I’m so glad we can have photos to help us remember precious moments like this. Purrs!

    1. Thank you. Yes, there is a pecking order on sets and extras are the absolute bottom. XO

  10. What a sweet video of Millie.

That’s exciting about Alec Baldwin and 30 Rock, too! I haven’t watched Stumptown but the commercials look good.

Take care and many hugs and purrs to you.

  11. Did you hear that National Treasure 3 is in the works? I bet you already know that. I didn’t know about your time as an extra – how fun! I also watch Stumptown and enjoy it.

  12. Whoa! You sat down next to Alec. That’s almost like sitting down next to the POTUS. Get it? Which episode was it? We’ll look for it on youtube. TW has a lot of those moments she’ll never forget. Her actor moment was with Richard Gere. It would have taken her a month to figure out which to put as the answer. We never heard of Stumptown. I’m glad Sammy is comforting you.

    1. MOL! I get it 🙂 It was the one with Liz’s 20th reunion. I would love to know all TW has met. XO

  13. I think cats know when we need extra attention and I am like you, I am picky about what I watch. Probably more picky then you. It irritates my wife who wants to watch all kinds of junk.

  14. I agree with you on watching a movie especially in the theater due to Cost!!
We enjoyed 30 rock. Didn’t see all the shows. Now I’m wondering if I saw the one with you in it.
    Hugs Cecilia

  15. dood….we hope ewe fighted off that vizshuz jackit with everee thing ya had….sum kinda nerve that fabric had….. a tackin ewe like that ~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥♥♥3

  16. I am glad Sammy takes such good care of you.
It’s a shame you weren’t allowed to talk to Alec Baldwin, but I hope being able to see him up close was a good experience.
    Have a great Feline Friday!

  17. LOL @ Millie that was quite funny love Sandee’s description Jacket Snatcher heheh!

    I liked your replies too

    Have a tanfastical weekend 🙂

  18. Something tells me Alec Baldwin wouldn’t speak to a “regular person” regardless of the rules. Cool that you got to be on such a popular show though!

  19. You have the sweetest blog. Always my pleasure to stop by. I think that is rotten you could not speak to a celebrity. Life is not very fair! My kids watched all the episodes on Netflex. We love Stumptown. Colbie Smulders has come a long way from Robin on How I Met Your Mother. I like how she has the coolest brother. I am happy to see T.V. programs start showing all sides of life. Years ago we watched Life Goes On and that was a great show back in the day. I am reading your blog to catch up here and I am sending very gentle hugs to you today and everyday. Millie such a sweet girl. HUGS xo

    1. Yes, I agree. And I loved Life Goes On too. Thank you for your kind words for Millie. XO

  20. Hooray for Sammy, and even if you don’t really get to rub elbows with the stars much, it is probably fun to be an extra on a show at least once, just to say you did.

  21. Yes, we love Stumptown!!

I don’t think I’ve heard the story about Alec Baldwin before – that’s pretty cool, even if you didn’t get to talk to him (personally I wouldn’t know what to say anyway – LOL)!

I’m so glad Sammy is taking good care of you. ♥

  22. I agree with you. I hate paying for a movie and it turning out badly.
I’m glad that Sammy is being a comfort for you during these sad times. The Soot Sprites and Tiglet are a great comfort for me, too.
I’m sorry that the extras got treated like dirt. That stinks.
I don’t think that I’ve heard of Stumptown before. I’m glad that you’re enjoying it. I don’t have the focus for watching anything these days. My mind is completely preoccupied otherwise, which can get to be pretty frustrating at times. Maybe I will have my brain back soon. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend.

    1. I am sorry you are having a hard time. Kitties do sense when we need extra love. XO

  23. I’m totally with you on the movie stuff! I don’t watch just anything. I watch what really appeals to me and is worth my time.

I don’t remember the story about Alec Baldwin, so that was fun to hear about!
