Hi everyone! Tonight is the last episode of Downton Abbey so Mom said I could do a giveaway. Well, it is more of a contest and the winner will get the book, Downton Tabby. Here is a link to see if because we just ordered it today so I can’t get in a photo with it.

I have a list of questions for you to answer as to how the series will end. The one to get the most ( or all correct wins). If more than one does, then I will have to draw names. All answers must be in by 9 PM EST

  1. Will Lady Edith end up alone? We are hoping Marigold’s father is still alive and was in a coma then magically reappears.
  2. Will Anna and Bates have their baby and live happily ever after or will we find out he is a sociopath like Mom thinks he is?
  3. Do you think anyone will die? Who?

  1. Wow, we don’t think Marigold’s father will return. The last episode will need to have a super fast forward for Anna to have her baby. We don’t think anyone will die. Mom is so bummed that this is the last episode. Hope your grammie gave you lots and lots of treats. Thanks so much for hopping.   5. We’re excited here about tonight’s final episode…….Mom has some answers but you know how they always FOOL US when it comes to “final episodes” of anything! We think Lady Edith WILL have her man; Anna and Bates will not have their own baby after all but might adopt; if anyone dies, it will be “Grandmama”………but we will just WAIT AND SEE! Happy Sunday!

  7. Mom is so distraught that DOWNTON IS ENDING‼️ Our friends across the pond have already seen the last show! Mom read earlier this year, that Mr Fellows would be tying up all loose ends on the finale. If so, it will be a packed 2 hours.

    1. Marigold’s dad is dead and he ain’t coming back. But Lady Edith’s most recent beau will have a change of heart and come back to her.
    2. Anna and Bates will have their baby and live happily ever after.
    3. No one will die – or at least no one else will!!

  10. What a great idea Pheobe! I love Downton! I think Edith will be happy running her magazine alone, Bates and Anna will have their baby, and the father will die. I hope I am wrong about some of it, but with Downton, you can’t expect everyone to live happily ever after, as we have seen. Enjoy your “tea” Pheobe!

  11. I love Downton Abbey. I’m a bit behind and need to catch up on it, though, so I can’t yet decide what I think will happen. I think you would fit right in at Downton, Phoebe, with all of that fine china. And I’m so glad you’re getting to see your grammie more, and I sure hope she’s giving you lots of treats! Purrs!

  13. My mum rarely watches TV but the review after the final episode was in the papers, so she knows pretty much what happened but won’t spoil it here.
    You look very elegant with the finest china, Phoebe. Do you drink with your little toe pointing up?

  14. Phoebe, how fun to use your mom’s china for this Downton Abbey post! We think Edith won’t end up alone but we’re not sure whom she’ll end up with. We’re thinking her last fiance will forgive and marry her. Yes, Anna & Mr. Bates will have their baby and live happily ever after! We don’t think anyone will die.

  15. I do think Edith will find a path to happiness with her Bertie. I hope at least, she needs to outrank her sister! 🙂

    Yes, I do think the Bates will have their baby. I think that will be one of those moments like a wedding where everyone will band together happily.

    Does Violet die? Oh I hope not yet. I would still like to think that there will be something more with Downton Abbey. I am so very sad it it ending it’s Masterpiece run.

    1. That would be good if she could outrank her mean sister. We can’t wait to see how it ends, yet we don’t want it to end.

  17. We watched Downton Abbey right from the beginning and really enjoyed it Mum said she liked it more than anything she’d seen on the TV for a long time.

  25. I just started watching and darned if it isn;t at the end. I swear though, I would like to smack Lady Mary into next week sometimes. Oh well. 🙂 She was so cruel to her sister.

  26. OH MY MO– USES! You got to eat out of the fine china? REALLY? I’ve never been allowed to do that. Tess tries. Whenever the peeps have company over, she jumps up onto the table and TRIES to get at butter and stuff. Peeps TRY to stop her but sometimes… she gets in a lick or two of the butter. MO– USES!

    1. I’m hoping that Lady Edith’s boyfriend realizes he didn’t give her a chance to tell him about Marigold on account of Lady Mary’s big mouth and that HAD she been given the chance, she would have told her so he comes back.

    3. We need to get rid of that nasty Tracy and fast so if she were to be killed off… OOPS! Wrong British drama. I was thinking about Corronation Street. For Downton, I’m hoping no one dies. Let’s have happy endings all around. PURRS

  28. We think everyone will have a happy ending because we are eternal optimists! So…
    1. Edith’s beau will come back to her and realize he doesn’t care that she has Marigold by another man.
    2. Anna will have a son to carry on the name of your perceived sociopath ;p
    3. No one will die.
    4. Daisy will get together with the fellow who is an illiterate and whose name we have momentarily forgotten.
    And all the other subplots will end well and all will live happily ever after! 🙂

    And we are sad it will be the last episode. Our Mama doesn’t watch much t.v. but she loved this series 🙂

  29. We don’t think anybody will die…unless it’s some really old person. We think Lady Edith will not end up alone…or at least we hope she finds happiness. Anna will have her baby…and we don’t think Bates is a sociopath. 😉

  31. I’m looking forward to watching (it’s not on until 9pm pacific).
    1. We hope Edith’s baby daddy is still alive and comes back, but would be just as happy for her to end up with the marquis so that “the blessed Lady Mary” is outranked by Edith! But accepting an unwed mother with a child would be pretty scandalous, so we’re thinking the baby daddy will return.

    2. No, I don’t think the Bates will have a baby. As one of the writers said about those characters, “the bread always falls buttereddside down.”

    3. I don’t think anyone else will die.

    I also think Carson might retire and Mr. Barrow will become the new butler. That would carry into the future with Mary & her son, who adores Mr. Barrow.

    1. Sorry you were wrong about BAtes, but I am impressed you knew Barrow would be the new butler. Everything did tie together nicely.

      1. I’m glad I was wrong about the Bates. They finally have some happiness! I was wrong about Edith too but I guess that would have been a strange way to end the series for her old boyfriend to come back. Overall, a great ending to a wonderful show. Now what am I going to do with my Sunday evenings?

  34. Getting to use the best china is so nice, unfortunately we don’t get to use it much on account of some of my… er… guests being a bit destructive. Great selfies, a little bit of class…. purrs
