Happy Labor Day to everyone in the United States and happy Monday for everyone else. Monday are usually fun and games day so I thought we would do a review for some treats we got from Chewy. Nothing is more fun for my kitties than getting treats. Penny called dibs on the Chewy box.

We were given the treats for free from Chewy , but the kitties are giving their honest opinion.

Hill’s Ideal Balance Crunchy Naturals with Real Tuna Cat Treats, 2-oz bag

sounded so promising, they are made in the USA, grain free, no artificial colors or flavors and tuna is the #1 ingredient. I don’t usually buy fish flavors, but when I open a can of tuna, all the kitties like a taste so I figured these would be a hit.

043Phoebe was excited.045She ate them, but wasn’t begging for more. 046Joanie sucked them up like a vacuum cleaner while Sammy backed away.

050I gave Spooky 3, he tested one and popped the other 2 in his mouth at the same time. 054Millie wouldn’t touch them and he usually loves treats. 053Penny didn’t want them either. Out of 15 cats, 2 loved them ( Spooky and Joanie) and Phoebe thought they were OK and no one else would touch them. I am very surprised that Sammy and Millie didn’t want them.

They are on sale for $1.57 for a 2 ounce bag which is usually $3.49 so if your cat is a big tuna fan they are worth a try.

  1. Ours prefer chicken to fish. I have to be very careful with diets now, so have given up treat and food reviews. It was fun to see what your kids thought. ☺

  2. HAPPY LABOUR DAY! Yup, it’s Labour Day up here in Canada, too, except that we spell it just a tad differently. Think it’s pretty much the same other than that ol’ letter ‘u’.

  4. I am not very keen on fish flavour treats either. Duck and turkey is my favourite but mum found some new crab flavour the other day and I love them. It is the only fishy flavour I have decided I like.

  6. Well, we can be a little finicky sometimes – cats get to do that you know! (haha) At least a couple of you like those treats. We will of course be sending POTP to Lucy for her ultrasound tomorrow…..we want her to feel better REAL soon! Happy Labor Day……….

  9. Happy Labor Day! Here in Portugal it’s just another regular working day 🙂
    As for these treats, I think Mister Cat would love them. He’s a big fan of tuna and he usually eats everything. He’s not picky at all 🙂

  12. We tried some of those treats last year when Jewel was still here. Jewel was the only one who liked them!

    I’m sure that the two kitties who loved them will be happy they don’t have to share with the rest of their brothers and sisters, MOL!

    1. My kitties love treats like party mix and Temptations, but healthy ones- no. Sounds like me- I would prefer Cheetos to carrots 🙂

  16. The kitties here don’t really like treats, the one thing they do love is freeze dried chicken breast! Now my little feral likes Temptations party flavor but each time I’ve opened a bag of the different flavors she turns her nose up.SHE’s feral! MOL

  21. Happy laboring Labor Day. We blogging cats still have to pose for the flashy box today and that’s a lot of work. You guys really had to work eating those treats. I don’t care for them myself but there are only 2 kinds of treats I’ll eat.
