Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day

Hi everyone! We are doing a lot of hopping today plus I have to answer my cats’ questions. We are joining McGuffy’s Reader’s Sparks, It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading ? and Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays.

I chose Emmy to pose with the book I am reading because she reminds me of Miss Cuddlywumps. I am reading Roby Sweet’s The Ides of October, book 2 in her series. I LOVE this series, it is definitely my favorite cat cozy mystery series. I love that Miss Cuddlywumps has a big role in solving the mysteries. She is very intelligent and looks down on her human which is how I think Emmy feels about me 🙂

My Spark for today is a quote from Anne Frank, ” We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same. ”

We are all different, but we do all want to be happy. Maybe if we all paid attention to similarities instead of differences then people would get along better.

And now for the questions:

Sammy- Why can’t I beat up Brody? Sorry Sammy, Brody is a sweet boy and it is not nice to beat up other kitties.

Joanie- Can I get another gremlin to keep Gremmie company? Sorry, one is enough. You do a good job keeping him company.

Emmy- Why do you feed me canned slop when I would prefer a hamburger, cheese or chicken?  I know you love those things, but they are not as good for you as canned “slop”.

  1. I love your answers to the furbies, especially Emmy – that sounds like something my husband would say to me when he’s trying to get me to eat healthier.
I’d not heard of that book series before so will be looking it up.
Fabulous spark – as our similarities far outweigh our differences, but too many people in this world tend to ignore that.
Have a really lovely week Ellen.

  2. The Miss Cuddlywumps series is definitely on my list of books to read. And you kitties asked great questions, to which your mom gave great answers. Your Spark is also such a truly wonderful thought, and I also wish more people realized that. Have a magnificent Monday!

  3. Ellen,

Oh yes, if we looked for common interests to bind instead of differences then what a wonderful world this would be! Great “Sparks”!

I’m with Emmy, cheeseburgers trump canned slop anyday! Maybe, you can find cheeseburger flavored canned slp to make her happy. 😀

  4. Emmy, that looks like a good book. We also really like your quote for the day. We will have to look into those books. They sound like some good reading. Have a great day.

  5. Great Spark… lots of times I have to remind myself that it is okay to be happy! Emmy looks happy to pose with your book… 🙂 Yes, Emmy has the best idea… CHEESEBURGERS! Joanie and Gremmie… one gremlin is enough, for sure!

  6. Thanks for posing with our book, Emmy! I’m so excited that your mom is enjoying Miss C’s series. Love your Spark! Anne Frank was so wise. I got to go to the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam several years ago. It was interesting to see where they lived but also heartbreaking that they had to hide like that.

    1. Emmy says you’re welcome. That is amazing you got to see where she hid, and very sad that they had to live like that and didn’t even survive.

  7. “Maybe if we all paid attention to similarities instead of differences then people would get along better.” Profound, Ellen. This is so true. It saddens me that people can be so heartless to others, all the while demanding their own agenda. Respect. Thank you for this reminder. Be happy.
Oh, my heaven…what cute questions, and what “Mom” answers you gave! Good job, all of you. I had to LOL at your comment about Emmy looking down on you. HUGS!

    1. Thank you, I am glad you liked my Spark and interpretation of the quote 🙂 I do think Emmy looks down on me, yet she does seem to love me. XO

  8. I agree, we are all different, but finding common ground and working for it would make things much better.
I love your questions and answers 🙂

  9. Love your Spark. Ever so true.

    Canned slop? Bwahahahahahahahahaha.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to our mom. ♥

  10. Why do I think that that answer is not going to satisfy Emmy? Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  11. Those questions could have come from the mouths of anyone under the age of 10! I like your Spark a lot. I believe the things we all have in common outnumber our differences. Sure wish those in government positions could see it that way too!

  12. Emmy is adorable in her picture, and I loved your question/answer session. At the moment, mine would probably be asking “Who let those two new kids come live with us?” They are all still getting acquainted. 🙂

Your quote from Ann Frank is wonderful. If there is one think I have learned in life it is that no matter how different our backgrounds or lives, we are all more alike than we are different. We all want to be loved, happy, and useful. We all want food, clothing, shelter, and safety. We all value peace and friendship. <3

  13. shop vac…dood….if itz a beatin ya wanna try yur skillz at; de bass terd hawkeneeze iz bak in town…..heez a big one two….mor N just uz two can handull ~~~~~~ ☺☺♥♥

  14. Good answers! When i went to work for Dr. D this morning, i told her it was “Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day” and she said, “My cats don’t have any questions, they will tell you that they have all the answers!”

  15. I’m reading the first book in the Cuddlywump series and I love it. I’m hooked!

Love the kitties’ questions and your answers. 🙂

  16. Oh Emmy, we are certain your Mama is not feeding you “slop”!
That is a lovely quote from Anne Frank. Our Mama can’t believe how wise and evolved Anne Frank was despite her young age. We should all try to get along and to live in peace in honor of all the Anne Franks in the world who lost their lives due to human depravity.

the critters in the cottage xo

  17. Emmy, is your human reading Roby Sweet’s The Ides of October, book 2 out load to you guys?
We LOVED your Spark and I must say…your Mom sure answered your questions! I am glad you asked about the canned slop, but the answer was NOT what I wanted to hear…I was hoping, when I asked my Mom, she would start cooking me food like she does for Cinnamon.

    1. No, she is too lazy to read it aloud. That would be nice if they would cook for us :)XO

  18. We are glad we like the canned foods and crunchies. Ours are pretty good. But we also get real beef an chicken an cheese too, so that balances out well.

  19. Looks like a good book. Have written it down to remember next time I need a new title. Love the quote. I agree. Perhaps we should all look for similarities instead of confronting differences.

  20. I love this -Sammy- Why can’t I beat up Brody? Sorry Sammy, Brody is a sweet boy and it is not nice to beat up other kitties.—-it is the same conversation I have with Amarula daily about not beating up her brothers!!

  21. Uh, We’re with Emmy. And furankly, hamburger is much better fur us than canned slop. MOL Canned slop, where did she come up with that one? Big hugs

    Luv ya’
