Another Hopping Monday/ #JHC Day 3

Hi everyone! We are doing lots of hopping today. There is a new hop the first and third weekends of the month called The Pet Blogger Showcase, our friend Bear is a co-host.

Brody hopes he is Awww…worthy for Comedy Plus’ Awwww….Mondays hop, he is also posing with one of the books I am currently reading for The Book Date’s It’s Monday! What are YOU Reading? hop.

dscf2645  I thought this book was most appropriate for Rosh Hashanah. Manischewitz, The Matzo Family: The Making of an American Jewish Icon by Laura Manischewitz Alpern tells the story of an immigrant family that started making and selling matzo crackers in 1888, eventually building an empire selling many Jewish foods.Surprisingly, the family has not owned the company since 1991. I am not Jewish, but I love to make matzo ball soup and this is the only brand of matzo meal I will use. Everyone loves my soup, even my little great niece.

  5. What am I readin’? Hmmm… Let’s see… Well today the peep had her writing group thingy so this mornin’ I was proof-readin’ her story and boy-oh-boy, let me tell you, proof-readin’ was needed. MO– USES!

  6. Spooky was very precious. I have a sweet kitty, Boots, that I miss terribly too. I love your soup story too. I must look for a recipe. Is it very difficult to make? We love soup as the weather cools. Thank you for sharing and enjoy a wonderful week. Joyful Hugs, Anne

    1. I am sorry Boots is no longer with you. Matzo Ball soup is very easy, it is chicken soup and matzo balls are like dumplings, but made with matzo meal instead of flour. XO

  7. I just finished two books: Tangled up in Brew, a cozy mystery; and The Book of Joy, which was a discussion between the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. Different ends of the reading spectrum, but both were enjoyable.

Spooky was so cute in that photo with the black cats.

  8. Brody is Awww! Awwwsome and Pawsome!! Wow, he even reads:)

And so was Spooky, how fun to have him pose with all those black spooky kitties, MOL! What a sweet memory that is.

Glad you are having so much fun with this challenge.

  9. Brody looks super handsome (sorry, Phoebe … he can’t be THAT bad, can he? And anyway, you look great in your picture promoting the giveaway prizes). Thank you for linking up to the showcase – we were excited to find a familiar face 🙂 Spooky was a handsome devil too!

    1. Thank you, he was over 16, but we had him live with us only 2 and a half years-he was the neighbor’s cat before.
