Hi everyone! Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day and I sure do appreciate my black cats as well as all the other ones too.

Before I write about them I must thank my husband. Yesterday, my crappy computer Dell decided it was done working for me. I had it for only 13 months and only used it for about 8 months. I was typing and it shut off and wouldn’t go back on again. My husband was at the grocery store so I called him and asked him if he could pick up something at Walmart for me on his way home. When I told him it was a laptop he didn’t even sound surprised and came home with one. He never reads my blog because he doesn’t do anything on the computer, but I wanted to say how lucky I am.

I am still learning how to use the new computer so I am using photos that were already in my WordPress.

  1. I had no idea that you had more than one black cat! M is mostly black, so we’ll be honoring him. When I was a kid, I was owned by Boston Blackie, later Mingus and Matsu ( In case you haven’t figured it out, I base characters in the Sea Purrtector series on past and present pets.)

    Confusers can be so temperamental. Sheesh.

    The picture of Noel with the pumpkin made our petcretry giggle, cause the reclainer looks like a grinning face, MOL! And no no booze has been imbibed here…

  8. Black cats are so gorgeous…….have always thought that panthers were sleek, soft, beautiful critters! Sorry your laptop died but hopefully the new one will cooperate.

  9. My goodness, look at all of you purrfect black beauties! Our housemate Toby is mostly black, and he sure is pretty darn cool. I don’t currently have a black cat myself, but I’m sure that will not always be the case.

    Also, I love the story about your husband. He was probably thinking you were going to ask for something like a gallon of milk or some eggs, but a laptop is just as fine with him. He sounds like a keeper, Ellen!

    1. Thank you, he is definitely a keeper. 🙂 I am sure he would have preferred to get milk or eggs.

  22. Lucky cats! Our all black kitty was named Lola…..my youngest son actually taught her a trick- he’d point his finger at her…would say “Bang” and she would fall over on her side playing dead! No other cat I have known would be bothered tolearn a trick! Cheers!

  30. We love black cats! Our Mama doesn’t understand why people wouldn’t love them… they look like wild, beautiful, panthers . Plus all the black cats she has ever known were all real characters. And Malou is inlcuded! She is a HUGE character! Here’s to all black cats:)

  32. Your Tallulah looks just like our Buster (who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago). He lived 16 happy years and made our lives better for sharing his life with us. And by the way, I’ve been in “Dell hell”, feel your pain!
