Happy Thursday everyone! 010

Mom has been worrying about Lucy all week. We thank you all for purring and praying. She is eating, still not as much as she used to, but enough. We should have a call from the vet today about the blood work.

I am really getting sick of these Flat Cats. Mom took them to The Quabbin Reservoir the other day: 007 011For those of you that don’t know, The Quabbin  is where Boston gets it’s water from. It was built in the 1930’s – 4 towns were erased from Massachusetts they even moved cemeteries. I know all about it, but Mom has never taken me- phooey!

There are lots of flat cat photos- but none of flat me.

I did get to see my Grammie yesterday I love her so very much. 003We are going to be having lots of giveaways coming up, Mom got some Dr. Who fabric and pirate one too for catnip mats. I saw a bag of eyeballs too. See you Sunday!

  1. Interesting history of your area. I love the history in cemeteries. It is fascinating.
    It sounds like your mom likes crafting. I used to but can’t anymore. Enjoy those flat cats while they are there.

    1. Last year we gave a bag of eyeballs away and we will this year too- they are lots of fun for kitties to play with. I am going to crochet some too.

    1. I love Halloween it is my favorite time of year 🙂 Just heard from vet, no big findings, slight elevation of white blood cells which can be infection or inflamation so we need the ultrasound.

  7. That was interesting about your city/town as we did not know. It would have been a huge job to move a cemetery. M says it seems. Almost impossible and she says “wow”.

    1. They moved several cemeteries and made one big one called the Quabbin cemetery- I always wonder if they really removed them all.

  8. EEEEEEK!!! A bag of eyeballs!!!!!! We hope Lucy is going to be alright. We older kiddos just don’t eat as much as we used to. Less active I guess. Hope her tummy is better though.

    1. Thank you Sammy. You are correct that you would need less food when you are less active. We are going to have a giveaway for the eyeballs- they are lots of fun 🙂

  11. We’re purring and praying for Lucy here in CA. We liked hearing about your area. Mommy loves the New England area. Her sister lives in NH.
    We’ve never seen a bag of eyeballs. Datz scary.

  13. You buy and yourself a nice cemetery plot with a great view and headstone with your name on it, and what happens? After you die, you get evicted and don’t even get a refund!

    1. They moved all the cemeteries into one big one they named The Quabbin cemetery- I always wonder if they moved everybody. It would make a great ghost story.

    1. For the most part it was good, but wbc count is a little high. She still needs the ultrasound to see if it is an infection or inflammation. Thank you for the purrs and prayers- they are appreciated.

  24. Paws crossed for sweet Lucy, good news she eats something. I love those flat cats.
    Mom was like, maybe we should make some flat Daleks and send them out… Oh no, I don’t think that is a good idea. She should better make a flat cat out of me and send me around the world. Her argument: “I already have a TARDIS”
    Dr who Fabric, sounds like fun. Arrghh Pirates, love the wild seas and the bottle of rum.
    Come on lets sail the ocean in my TARDIS! Rum is on me!

    1. NO Daleks- you don’t want her to make more- there are too many. You do have your TARDIS so you can visit wherever and whenever you want. Only a little longer til the new season of Dr. Who 🙂

    1. Thank you for your kind words for Lucy, she ate better yesterday than today. I just have to keep trying to feed her until the ultrasound Tuesday. Phoebe can’t believe I haven’t taken her flat anywhere either- poor kitty.

  30. Phoebe you look very sweet in that first photo! We hope Lucy’s ultrasound results are helpful in fixing what is ailing her. We are still thinking if her. Eyeballs…that sounds like a bit of Halloween fun to toss around! 🙂
