Happy Friday everyone! Lucy is such a trooper that she is going to help me with a book review even though she still doesn’t feel well. The blood work was all good except her white blood cell count was elevated a little. She will still need the ultrasound to tell if it is inflammation or infection causing the rise. She ate better Wednesday than Thursday, but as long as she eats something I will be happy. Thank you all again for the purrs and prayers.

Lucy and I loved this book, well I did and Lucy enjoyed cuddling with me while I was reading it. I love cats and memoirs so a memoir that includes a cat is an ideal combination for me. Lisa Warren writes about her life with her parents and the love they all had for their cat named Ping.

Like every family, they have some heartbreak and sweet Ping helps them through it. I won’t go into too many details as I like to keep reviews short because as my hubby says, I have the attention span of a fruit fly. I will tell you that when something happens to Ping they treat her as they would one another. I wish all people treated their cats as members of the family, I know many do, but I wish everyone did.     1. This book is fairly new, it came out within the last few months. I am not a big fan of fiction, these are my favorite kinds.

  7. Sending continued purrs and prayers for Lucy. It is so hard when we get sick and can’t tell you way is wrong. We love when cats are family members and treated that way. Mom will be checking to see if our library has the book. It sounds like a good read,

  11. Short book reviews are good. Knowing you like it is the important part. If you said you hated it, that would put the “kabosh” on it. I usually enter a cat nap reading long reviews and never make it to the end. I quit writing them myself–I put myself to sleep before I finish!

  12. I’m sorry that Lucy’s blood work has shown some elevation, but on the other hand – it’s sometimes better to know what you’re searching for. Lucy is still in our thoughts – I hope you have a calm weekend (and a full tummy).
