Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that The Great One and Joanie got to have a play date. Also thankful I was able to get an appointment for Sammy at the vet because he is pulling at that tummy fur again and his back legs. He is back on Apoquil and also got an antibiotic injection.
Here he is posing with the crocheted octopus and octopus catnip mat that I made for Cat Scouts. Any Scout that completes the class by Friday is entered to win these ( Sammy not included).
We are joining poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided:
A kid used to love a pogo stick
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. The linky stays open until Wednesday night.
Those are some great thankfuls.
We love the Cat mat.
Sammy, be glad you don’t have to wear a cone!!
Thank you. Actually , he has to for a few days until the meds kick in. XO
Glad that Joanie and The Great One had a play date! And that Sammy could see the vet and hopefully, this will make him all better! Cute Octopus and cute poem! XO
Thank you. XO
Play dates are the best!!
That is a cute octopus set!
Sure hope that Sammy will get all better and not need a cone anymore.
Thank you. XO
I hope Sammy stops pulling at his fur! I guess the medication is the best thing for that.
Thank you. 🙂
Purrs for Sammy. Maybe sitting on the octopus mat will help make him feel better.
A little catnip can’t be bad 😉
A cute poem and a true one!
Purrs, Julie
Thank you. Yes, medicinal catnip. XO
I hope the shot helps Sammy with his allergies. I never could get the hang of pogo sticks and always ended up on the ground.
Thank you. If I had one, I would have been on the ground with broken bones. XO
The octopus is very cute! Poor Sammy… wish there was something that could make what’s bothering him history. Yes, it’s a shame about cell phones. I never see kids out playing anymore… is it phones and tech stuff?
Thank you. I wish I knew, I think it is a food allergy, but he needs to be on a prescription food for hypercalcemia. XO
Sammy is so cute, so glad he sees the vet soon. Fun poem.
Thank you. 🙂
That’s a fun play date thankful and a very cute poem! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. 🙂
Mom never had a pogo stick and that’s probably a good thing. We loved Mrs P’s class!
The Florida Furkids

Play dates are great fun. I’m happy for them.
Poor Sammy. I hope the vet can get to the bottom of this.

Sammy quit pulling at your fur or you will go to the vet!
He went to the vet on Tuesday.:)
That was a great poem and we sure hope we win that prize. It was a really fun class. Sammy purrs for your tummy
Thank you. XO
I hope Sammy is doing well.
Thank you. It takes a while for the meds to kick in so he is still coned. XO
Poor Sammy, i am glad he has such a good Mommy to get him to the vet quickly.
Love the poem! Yes, it would be nice if children would continue to want fun ways to play outdoors instead of just having a phone.
Thank you. XO
Feel better, Sammy!
Thank you. 🙂
I have to jot down the fill in’s so I can add it to my Friday post. Sure is nice to visit you. Lots of fun with the felines even though they need constant care and attention. You are sure a good provider for the fur babies. Hope all will be well.
Thank you. XO
Love the poem too! I saw afew that were cute too. I dislike that today technolofy has taken over. I was raised on fresh air and fun. Outdoor fun! Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh, Sammy. Best wishes. Cute, if rather sad, poem. I look forward to the fill-ins. ~hugs~
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Poor Sammy. I hope the medicine helps him feel better.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Bear did that too – he licked his belly and inner legs until he had little fur there. Oddly enough, he stopped around the time we got Ellie. Maybe he was just bored?
Sammy can’t be bored with all his siblings.
I hope Sammy feels better. I used to have a pogo stick and I was no good at it.
Thank you. 🙂
Oh darn, poor Sammy!
We had a pogo stick when I was a kid, but I never got more than a few hops.
I never had one -my folks knew I was a klutz. 🙂
Ohhhh well done on the pogo poem.
I’m late to drop by
Have I missed Friday’s post
Hugs cecilia
Thank you. 🙂 I think so. XO
