Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
My hubby is thankful The Red Sox have their first game of the season today- me , not so much. Sammy and I are thankful for all the purrs and prayers for him and his nose bump.
Sammy has written a poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo prompt.
I wonder what this building is for?
We could go inside if it starts to pour.
Maybe that is where a bull is sleeping,
that is a place I won’t go creeping.
And the winner of the Gary Sinise book giveaway is John of The Sound of One Hand Typing.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I am allergic to ____________________.
2. My taxes __________________.
3. I don’t tell many people _________.
4. When it rains, _________.
I don’t think I’d want a run in wif a bull either!
🙂
That is a furry good poem! But We aren’t at all sure that building would make a good shelter if it starts to pour. It looks as if the roof might be full of holes.
And if there really is a bull sleeping inside – Bad Idea!!!!!
Thank you. XO
Time for “B-Ball” here too – our Nationals are starting things off playing the Mets today. Sammy is more brave than I am to be wearing his baseball hat!! We are hoping his nose is looking better but anxious to hear everything is alright. Well done on the poem – it looks like a sturdy little church or schoolhouse and also looks like a nice spot for a QUIET nap!
Hugs, Teddy
We, the STL Cards, play the Nationals the end of April! I’m gonna be watching!
Thank you. His nose is the same 🙁 XO
Nice poem. It does look a good place to shelter from a storm, so maybe the bull is in there too, and who knows what other critters.
Thank you. XO
We have a little church like that standing on a hill, haven’t seen a bull in it yet…MOL 😀 Great poem and we keep our paws crossing for you Sammy <3 Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday???
Glad there is no bull in your church. 🙂 XO
Uh-oh don’t go in there and disturb the bull Sammy!
MOl! 🙂
We love that picture. Just so many things to conjur up about it. And the poem is perfect too. You all have a great day.
Thank you. We hope you had a good day too> XO
There is just something about baseball season opening up that makes me feel all happy! I still like to have the St. Louis Cards playing in the background in the Tiny Casa when I can find them on. They play Milwaukee today… still in spring training.
You did well with that poem, Sammy. And you look adorable in your ball cap!
My hubby is the same way about baseball- he counts the days to Spring training when the season is over. Sammy thanks you. XO
That’s a cute poem and that’s no bull! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. XO
Yay for your poem too funny about the bull and the first day of Red Sox season.
Hugs Cecilia
Thank you. XO
Fun poem, i am always wistful when i see old churches that are no longer used.
Thank you. It is sad to see.
Go Red Sox! Great hat. It suits you.
Thank you. 🙂
You look just adorable in that cap, Sammy!
Thank you. XO
Sammy, you are a cutie in that Red Sox cap!
Thank you. XO
We are very meh about the upcoming baseball season, since The Detroit Tiger’s have been dismal lately. I would have to investigate that building, but I’d run like heck if there was a bull inside!
Baseball bores me, but all sports do.:)
I’m thankful you and all your kitties are part of my life.
I’m all ready for Friendly Fill-ins.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. My best to all the kitties. ♥
And we are thankful for you. I look forward to your fill-in answers. XO
Cute poem:) I’m happy about opening day of baseball too…first game for my Toronto Blue Jays.
Good luck to them 🙂
Sammy, you look ready to watch the game with your dad 🙂
Love your poem. Good idea not to go into where bulls sleep!
Thank you. XO
Neat building. I’m sorry you must wait so long for that dental appointment. How excruciating.
I know, poor Sammy.
Our mom used to be excited about baseball, but she’s not as much anymore. She says she’s much more excited about Lexy and me.
I am too 🙂
EEEK…we wouldn’t want to have a run-in with a bull either!!
The Florida Furkids
MOL!
That’s a fun little poem, made me smile – thanks!
Thank you. Glad you liked it. 🙂
Ooh, I wonder if there are a bunch of birdies with nests in that cupola! Kiss kiss for your lil’ nose, Sammy.
Thank you for the kisses. XO
We are thankful for the game of Base, too. More laptime!
Good point- Prancie is currently on her dad’s lap.
Since Mom was born and raised in Massachusetts, we hope the Red Sox do well. We also have to give a shout out for our KC Royals, although the predictions for them for this year aren’t looking too good.
That is a very nice poem – that building looks like it would make a very nice chapel.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
What part of Massachusetts?
Such a fun poem! And that image is really nice.
Thank you. XO
I love the poem! I would like to do the fill-ins too…early. Welk, Mom will.
1. I am allergic to aspirin and ibuprofen. Found out the scary way.
2. My taxes are done. (CPA. I’m scared of the IRS so I won’t even try).
3. I don’t tell many people work details of my career.
4. When it rains, I mentally hunker down till it’s over.
Thank you. And thanks for your answers, I enjoyed them. We still need to do ours-well, send them to the CPA 🙂 XO
Sammy you look great in your baseball cap! Play ball!
Thank you. XO
Baseball season already?!?!?! LOL
I know – it just ended in October.
Sammy, looks like you’re supporting your dad’s love of the Red Sox. I’m sorry about your nose bump. I hope everything is okay. You did a great job with your poem. It looks like an abandoned church.
Thank you. XO
Great poem, Sammy. I don’t really care about Baseball, though. Happy Thursday!
1. I am allergic to ragweed.
2. My taxes are done.
3. I don’t tell many people my personal stuff.
4. When it rains, I sleep well.
Thank you for your answers. I wish my taxes were done- good job!
Thought church at first look at the photo, but now I am thinkin’ one room school house?
I am not sure what it is 🙂
Mommy says it’s not bulls you have to worry about she even rode a bull. She said it is Mommy cows, she said if you get between them and their baby you are in TROUBLE. Mommy should know she always wants to pet babies and calves are no exception.
That is interesting.
Sammy is so cute in that baseball cap!
Thank you. 🙂
Much of my family are Red Sox fans, but I haven’t really followed it since I was a teenager. I do enjoy going to a game once in a while though!
My hubby loves them, but doesn’t think they will do well this year.
I used to watch baseball with my dad when I was a kid, but over time we sort of got bored with it. Now we stick to watching TV shows and movies. I’m really not a sports sort of person. Your poem, as always, is so much fun! Your twist there at the end reminded me of the children’s book called Ferdinand the Bull. My dad used to read that to me when I was a child. Purrs!
I remember that book 🙂
Baseball! It makes the residents happy to have something to follow…but, well the Tigers we get to see, are not raoring that much…they are more like kittens of late. Sheesh.
That is a quaint little schoolhouse I think,,,but a lot less quaint if the reported bull is stomping inside of it,MOL!
MOL! 🙂
cute poem, Sammy
Thank you.
Aw Sammy. I hope he’s feeling better.
He still has the bump 🙁
