Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!!Time to get hopping, we are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that I got to see my Grammie on Wednesday. I love her so very much and I get sad when I don’t see her.

I am in the bunk bed because I am all tuckered out from the Kits, Kritters and K9s Valentine’s K-oss dance. My purrince and I had a wonderful time. Click here to see photos and please remember the camera adds 10 pounds and they are all on my butt-phooey!

Mom sometimes write articles for The Daily Mews , but this month I decided to give it a try. I am svelte so I am just the one to give dieting advice to Mom and KaTwo. They haven’t followed any of it though. Click here.

And for Sammy’s Poetry Day , featuring the letter J, I have written a poem about Jinx.

Jinx
Jinx is a handsome mancat
there is no denying that.
He likes human, rabbits and dogs
I bet he even likes frogs.
There is one thing he does hate
other cats, he won’t tolerate.

#JHC Day 5 and Poetry

Hi everyone! 100_9624 Mary M was the only one who noticed I had a bandage on in this photo yesterday. That other carrier was for me-phooey! I had to have blood stolen to test my thyroid again ( we get results later today). At least it was a pretty pink with glitters.

My Dad got me a big container of treats, he is so sweet. He even said I didn’t have to share, but mean Mom said I do have to share. I saw Grammie on Wednesday, I love her so very much. And I will see her again today too.

Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter Q. I have written a haiku about the talented kitty artist Quint.

Keep your Picasso
your Renoir and Van Gogh too!
We prefer a “Quint”

Last year, someone surprised us with a Quint painting and we finally have the perfect frame for it. Noel is posing with it.

Phoebe Thursday

Hi everyone! I hope you all realized that photo you saw of me with Brody yesterday was clearly photoshopped. dscf2622-2 OK, I admit it, Brody is starting to grow on me like a wart. I got to see Grammie Tuesday and Wednesday. I love her so very much! I spent lots of quality time in the kitchen with her and we played cards.

Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter P so Mom decided to write a poem for all 3 of us girl kitties that have names that start with P. Polar Bear will have to wait for his poem.

Phoebe

The day I met you, it was love at first sight
sadly, I couldn’t bring you home that night.
With you I was smitten
but, you were going to have a kitten
For three months I had to wait
all the while begging my mate.
Then one day he gave in
I went to get you with my kin
You were full of trust
needing no time to adjust
all the other cats loved you
and you loved them too.
Phoebe, I love you with all my heart
I never want to be apart.

Prancie

You showed up on
the coldest night of the year
and warmed our hearts.

Penny

I found a Penny
I picked her up and now
I have such good luck.

Today is the next to the last day for P.S.Annie’s 19-Somethin Challenge. The question is:Were you into Star Trek or Star Wars or both? Mom wasn’t into either—until she met Dad and he had her watch all the Star Trek movies ( she fell asleep for some). Now she is quite the Trekkie and decorates Dad’s Star Trek Christmas Tree for him every year. To see it click here

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for Friday, Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

Artsy Saturday

Hi everyone! I didn’t edit any photos today, but I have a lot of “art” to share with you. First off, Daryl the feral has been the inspiration for some wonderful poems.

Pipo and Minko wrote this:

Darryl the Feral,
No longer in ‘peril’
You might need to wear some apparel,
Or bob for apples in a barrel…
Your eyes are like beryl;
Loved and owned, now; not feral!
Yes, you are mancat Dapper-Daryl!!

And from Turtlelover

Daryl looks so mad that he could spat
maybe he wants his own Dr Seuss Hat
I’m sure he wants Phoebe to be ok and all that
until then he’ll sit up here like a bat

DSCF0529Daryl the Feral thanks you, he is really happy.

A while ago I donated to a Kickstarter campaign for a comic book about rescue cats with special powers to help other cats in need. The amount I donated included a printed copy and it arrived yesterday. The art work is very nice, here is Joanie admiring it.
