Hi everyone! I hope you all realized that photo you saw of me with Brody yesterday was clearly photoshopped. dscf2622-2 OK, I admit it, Brody is starting to grow on me like a wart. I got to see Grammie Tuesday and Wednesday. I love her so very much! I spent lots of quality time in the kitchen with her and we played cards.

Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter P so Mom decided to write a poem for all 3 of us girl kitties that have names that start with P. Polar Bear will have to wait for his poem.

The day I met you, it was love at first sight
sadly, I couldn’t bring you home that night.
With you I was smitten
but, you were going to have a kitten
For three months I had to wait
all the while begging my mate.
Then one day he gave in
I went to get you with my kin
You were full of trust
needing no time to adjust
all the other cats loved you
and you loved them too.
Phoebe, I love you with all my heart
I never want to be apart.

Prancie

You showed up on
the coldest night of the year
and warmed our hearts.

Penny

I found a Penny
I picked her up and now
I have such good luck.

Mom wasn’t into either—until she met Dad and he had her watch all the Star Trek movies ( she fell asleep for some).   9. Phoebe, that is such a touching poem your mom wrote for you – ;M got tears in her eyes just reading it. No, she said she was never a Trekkie or into Star Wars – not her bag at all. She just doesn’t “get it” she says.

    I loved Star Trek and my son loved Star Wars, which meant we stood in long lines to see the movies.

    I’ll have to check out your Star Trek Christmas tree post. It sounds interesting. We have a somewhat divided house here. Some like Star Trek, some Star Wars. The way I see it, Star Trek is science, Star Wars is space fiction. haha

  36. Good job on the poem! I’d love to see more of these in the future. You can work on a poem that doesn’t rhyme in the future but there’s nothing wrong when it does though.

    1. Thank you, I would love to do a non rhyming, but I am not sure how those work- do they have to have the same amount of syllables per line- poetry was never my thing in school.:)
