West & Willow Custom Pet Portraits

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and The Pet Parade.   My art is very special today. When I was contacted by West & Willow about reviewing a custom pet portrait, I jumped at the opportunity.

*Disclaimer- I received a custom pet portrait in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

I had a tough time choosing which cat ( or cats) to get the custom portrait done of. You can get custom portraits with up to 3 pets. I was thinking of getting one of Joanie and Sammy because they are true brother and sister, but then I went with Jinx because he is our most recent loss and I wanted something special to remember him.

Ordering is very simple. First, you choose a background color/design and they have several to choose from. Then you choose a frame color ( you can also get it without a frame for $20 less). Then a size, they have  8″ by 10″,  12″ by 16″ and 18″by 24″. After that, you just need to upload the photo you want. This is the one I sent-

And this is the work of art that arrived only a week later-

I absolutely love it! The only problem is Jinx had yellow eyes and the artist made them green. There is a place when you order to give the artist nots so be sure to put eye color just to be sure. I still think it looks like Jinx though.

I also like that it comes ready to hang-

Prices start at $40 for an unframed portrait. This would make an excellent Valentine gift for someone that loves their kitty ( or dog or any pet).  To visit, click here. West & Willow

  1. There are so many talented people who can capture the spirit/personality of an animal in a portrait. Your Jinx portrait is super (even if the eye color isn’t QUITE right).

    Hugs, Pam

  2. Charlee: “What a great likeness of angel Jinx!”
Chaplin: “Our Dada says it looks like he came out of an anime, which must mean he likes it, since he’s always watching that kind of thing!”

  3. We really love that art of Jinx. We have been looking for a place to have a few pet portraits done and this seems like it will be great. We tried one the other year for Buddy Budd but with him being a Russian Blue they could not do the color right. With this being so good with Jinx, black cats are really difficult. I think this will work. Thanks Thanks Thanks

  4. That is really a neat keepsake. ITA with Cathy in saying to maybe contact them about the eye color. Perhaps they could change their form to include that for others?

    1. Thank you. I did tell them, but there is a place to write notes to the artist so that should cover it.

  5. That is really ice and something g I would definitely consider doing. Thanks for the review. How long did it take for the finished portrait to arrive? Thanks for the tip about the eyes.
