Hi everyone! Emmy wanted to say hi today.

Hi!

Now would you look at all these books. Mom is always giving stuff away and decluttering, but she seems to have lost her mind. Her and Dad went to a book sale, it was the last day and all books were free so she came home with 49!!!! Of those, 4 were for Dad, 1 for Grammie ,1 for The Great One

and the rest were all for her. I think I should pee on them, I would be doing her a favor because she would have to get rid of them. This is just too much clutter. And ironically, one of the books is titled, Throw Out Fifty Things. Mom read it and threw away 50 things back in 2012, and continues to declutter, but she clearly has given up.

I hope Grammie visits soon. I love her so very much. She is supposed to be here Wednesday.

    1. You should get some books from the library on decluttering to help you 🙂

  6. My human is kind of like that with books too. And she never, ever throws them out. Unless they are things like books about html coding from 1997.

  8. We think you should be grateful that your human fails at decluttering. Our human tries to get the “good girl” award for decluttering. If we haven’t used something for some months, it’s gone. Bah.

  10. WOW that is a big haul of books but FREE is a good price and big readers like your Mom and Dad need a SUPPLY on hand! Love the photo of you of course but also Emmy……she sure has settled in nicely hasn’t she!!

    You might be doing your mama a favor to wee on her new book stash but she might withhold kitty treats for a day, so paws and think carefully before doing anything, ok? Maybe, you should convince your mama to do away with the written word and move into the 21st century. Ebooks are excellent for the bookworm in your life. Grant it, they aren’t usually free but at least it will save your packrat (not to be mistaken for the rodent) mama the trouble of having to anguish over getting rid of her books.

    Thanks for the heads up on WordPress sticking your mama’s comments in Spam. I often forget to check until for some strange reason, really unbeknown to me, I happen to glance at it and realize it needs attention. And you’re quite right sometimes WP puts real comments under “Spam”. Technology, you can’t live with it and you don’t want to live without! This is just one of those necessary evils you got to learn to deal with on occasion.

    1. Mom has Nook and Kindle, but she is old fashioned and prefers to hold a book with pages to flip. 🙂

    1. Mom says she will read them and pass them along to friends or donate to another book sale. 🙂

  16. Hi Emmy, your picture is very nice. I like the fact that you look like a cat in a tux or in your case a black and white dress. You look so pretty. Of course the other cats look pretty too.

    1. I will tell Grammie you send kisses and hugs- OK? Emmy says thank you. She is a funny cat, all night she brings toys into the bedroom and meows to let mom know they are there- I am the only one allowed to caterwaul at night 🙂 XO and paw kisses

    1. It was a book sale, not a book store 🙂 Lots of them don’t want to store the books year to year so they give them away and start over the next year.XO

  31. Oh my stars, our mom is decluttering, too! We’ve got piles of books around the house that she’s bringing to the library. Why do humans hoard books? Especially when they have kindles? I don’t get it. I hope you get to see your grammie soon.

    1. I guess he does like books. I try not to own that many, but I do have a few bookcases, one is all cat books 🙂

  37. What a great book haul! No, kitty, we mustn’t pee on books. They are a very important addition to any home. Besides, if mommy is happy with her book haul, she might be so distracted that she gives you extra treats. 🙂
