Awww…….Mondays

Hi everyone! We are not joining the book blog hop because I haven’t read anything worth recommending-unless the new IKEA catalog counts. I have spent way too much time with that. Joanie still wants to do a review though and she is joining Comedy Plus’ Awww… Mondays Blog Hop.

This book is stupid. The author let someone move his cheese. If I had some cheese no one would move it because it would be in my tummy.

Thank you Joanie for that interesting review. This is actually a classic that we own although I have yet to find any cheese 🙂

Make sure you comment on yesterday’s post for a chance to win this shark themed catnip mat. Phoebe will announce the winner tomorrow.

  1. Effie thinks your cats are so resourceful and clever! She isn”t honestly much of a reader herself, though she does love pulling books off our shelves and “rearranging” them.

  2. Mummy says the IKEA CATalogue is also a classic (mol), which She loves to leaf through, although She has never bought anything from them.
But We think IKEA should be purr-secuted for false advertising! Why is it called a Catalogue when there aren’t any cats in it?!
(A thought: maybe because it contains lots of pictures of FURniture? MOL)

  3. Oh. Ikea! Mom can spend hours there, too. !

Although she’s been reading a lot about autumn flowers in the last days. She wants to plant some new flowers on the balcony and tries to find flowers that a) blossom in late summer / fall b) will do on an Eastbond balcony, c) are not too expensive, d) non-toxic to cats and e) in a store in Helsinki.

Sigh. She’s annoyed, we can tell you. Maybe she should start reading cheese books?

    1. IKEA is a fun place. That is going to be hard to find, the only thing I can think of is catnip 🙂

  4. No one would move the cheese around here since we would eat it right away. Sounds like that Ikea catalog is a good one. You all have a wonderful day.

  5. The Cheese book is a good one, i have a copy somewhere that i need to pull out and re-read.

  6. You have two Awwws in this post today. Yes indeed.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

  7. IKEA is a fun place to roam about in and get ideas…and petcretary has been to some great and huge ones in The Netherlands…and you can get breakfast there for the equivalent of about one dollar US…(One Euro), well it was like that in 2008 when she was there…MOL!
A few years ago, some of petcretary;s lady friends made a field trip to the closest one we have around here, and it was a blast! She bought a beer glass…really? In a furniture store, OMC!

There is a large IKEA not too far from whee her sister lives and we go there sometimes. They have a good restaurant too:)

And yes, Petcretary loves to pore ovfur the catalogue too. Its more fun that looking online.

Oh, and yes there actually is furniture here that came from IKEA:)

    1. I love to look at the paper catalog much better than online. I have some bookcases and a painting from there, but I bought them used on Craigslist. I just buy small things when there like can openers, vases, etc. They used to have kid’s toy mice and my cats love those.

  8. Our nearest IKEA store is over 30 minutes away, by freeway. So, we visit about twice a year. The Hubby buys stuff there; pots, pans, knives, while I swoon over towels and blankets and such. The checkout lines are always really long, but I love to go shopping there, and looking through the catalogue!

    1. Our closest one is 1 hour and 45 minutes away so I get there maybe once every 3 years.

  9. Our Mom proudly proclaimed there is nothing she needs from the IKEA catalog this year for the first time ever… We’re reminding her especially no more of those water spray bottles she thinks is so convenient to squirt certain kitties who do something deemed “wrong.”

    1. There is nothing that I need, but a lot that I want 🙂 Those are good spray bottles, although Sammy would disagree.

  12. Ahh, Who Moved My Cheese is a classic book that everyone should read. I read it aloud once to our kids years ago. Sometimes it still comes up in conversations. Cats and cheese, that reminds me of Mittens, she loved her some cheese. Once, when Xerxes was still feeling good, I had a plate that I had melted cheese on. It had cooled a little. I told Xerxes he could not have any. He came running up and put both front paws in the cheese. I guess he figured if he could not have any, I could not either. Have a great week.

    1. I agree, it is a classic which is why I own a copy. Cute story about Xerxes. 🙂
