Tummy Tuesday

Hi everyone! Joanie was being shy and didn’t want to show us her tummy so Sammy volunteered.

DSCF2154 His fur is finally growing back from his surgery. He has been meaning to thank Kali and Shoko for offering to send him some of their furs. He appreciated the offer, but he has been enjoying his air-conditioned tummy in the hot weather.

Thank you all for wishing me luck with the allergy shots. My first allergy shot went well, no swelling or anything. Hopefully, they will all be that easy. I go again Thursday morning, apparently it is twice a week for the first 15 weeks.

    1. Sammy and I both thank you. It is a quick shot and I have to sit for 10 minutes after so it isn’t too bad.

  1. Sammy’s showing true Cat Scout spirit by volunteering!! We think his tummy is snorgle worthy!!

Glad the shot went okay….hope they all do!

  2. Tummy air conditioning sure sounds great right about now! Now, Sammy, are you open to tummy tickles, because that tummy of yours is just too tempting…

I’m glad your first allergy shot went well, Ellen. I’m sorry you have to go twice a week for 15 weeks, but if they help then hopefully it’s worth it!

    1. Sammy thanks you and he likes tummy rubs , not tickles though 🙂 I hope the shots are worth it too , at least insurance covers it so it is just the time that is a factor because it is half an hour away.

  3. My first allergy shot was the worst one – so far. In fact, I get my weekly shot, today.

If you’re as hot as we are (lower 90s during the day) than an air conditioned tummy is ideal.

    Have a great day!

    1. How long have you been getting the shots? It is that hot here too. Hope you had a great day too.

  4. Sammy you are looking great! Glad the first shot was uneventful. Sure hope they help you.

  5. Ellen, I can well imagine the look on your face when the doc said that you are allergic to cats! “Seriously, doc?” Not to be too personal, but are they arm shots or glute shots? Wouldn’t it be really cool if they figured out how to make the shots into inhalers instead?

    1. I am sure the look was priceless. It is a shot in the arm, barely felt it- luckily 🙂

    1. Sammy seems to be enjoying it 🙂 Thank you, I hope they continue to go well.

  6. Oh the allergy shots. Our Little Bit had two shots a month for years for all her allergies. I hope this works for you. It sure did for our Little Bit. We miss her so very much.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ☺

  8. So glad he is healing up, and i hope the allergy shots work. They aren’t fun, but they are worth it if they help.

    1. The shots are time consuming because it is half an hour away, but at least they don’t make me sick.

    1. Yes, Sammy is enjoying his shaved tummy. Thank you about the shots 🙂

  9. Sammy has such a cute little tummy! It is very convenient that his surgery happened when it is hot out to offer him the added benefit of tummy air conditioning. 🙂 I’m glad that your allergy shot went well. I hope the rest of them do too!

    1. Yes, it was good timing for Sammy. ANd thank you, I hope they continue to go well too.

  10. Our mom never wrote you about the allergy shots and should have. Our dad is allergic to us and does take shots. He’s been taking them for a long time and does pretty well, except when too many of us get up in his face, then he has sneezing fits that send us all running. Our mom has lots of inhalant allergies including a slight one to us. She took shots for fifteen years but could never get past the minimum injections without reactions and the allergist finally said they weren’t helping her. All that said, some people respond really well and actually get some relief and some don’t. We hope you are one that finds the help she needs. Nice tummy on Sammy P. 1. WOW- your Mom got the shots for a long time, I would have given up a lot sooner. I hope they help, but I really don’t feel that allergic. I get a lot of sinus infections, but I don’t sneeze a lot or anything. XO

  11. Simon was a little disappointed at first with no Joanie. But then I reminded him of the photos we just got in the mail!! We love the pix and we’ll be sharing them this weekend!! We love you Miss Ellen!!

    1. We are glad your package arrived and Simon likes his photo of Joanie. We all love all of you! XO

  12. Sammy’s tummy is getting furry again – yay! So happy he’s doing well………….AND happy that Mom is too – allergy shots will be SOOOOOOOOO helpful!

    Love, Sammy

    1. Sammy said thank you. And I am not sure if they are working, but they are not hurting. XO

  13. Our petcretary got shots for about 3 or 4 years…for hayfever issues, and they helped a bit, but the best relief was with seldane and aon=ther one…bith were taken off the market. Boo… Then she tried a nasal steroid which helped a whole lot, but she had to stop those, due to her osteopenia issues. (steroids can weaken the bones), so she now uses ‘azelastine’ nasal spray (a prescription), and zyrtec. Pretty good control with those.

Good thing Sammy had some AC for his tummy,MOL! And better yet that his furs are filling back in, he will be ready for the cooler weather later:)

    1. I have been using the Allegra and I have a steroid nasal spray too. I hope the shots work though. Yes, Sammy’s furs are coming back. 🙂
