Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is medical day so I will tell you about Stinky. She had a dental last Friday and had to have 2 teeth removed. If I had a lot of money, they would all get dentals every other year. I know it is recommended yearly, but I don’t like having them put under so often. Right now, I get a few done a year, usually between January and March when there is a 20 % discount at VCA.

VCA is now also offering a pet care package where you pay so much a month and it includes up to 6 visits a year, a dental and blood work. I am going to look into this some more, not for everyone, but for one or two that are most likely to need it. Has anyone else done this?

  2. Stinky is lucky to get such a great tooth fairy present! That sounds like an interesting package – especially if you think you will need 6 visits per year. Personally, I’ve never taken advantage of a deal like that. God has blessed me in such a way that I have only ever had to take one of my cats to the veterinarian for an illness and only that one time. I couldn’t ask for more.

  4. How sweet that Stinky gets a tooth fairy reward after her dental visit!!!! Is it a little crocheted tooth? You are too clever……… we’re not familiar with the VCA deal but if you have multiple cats who have health issues needing to be addressed frequently it probably makes sense!!

  11. I must take one of my partially-friendly ferals in for a dental, so when the weather finally breaks, I’ll set up my drop-trap again and use it on the feeding station. Sweetie will let me pet her, but there ain’t no way in tarnation that I could pick her up to stuff inside a cat carrier!

  15. Dat plan sounds wunnewful. We wuld luv sumfin’ like dat. But alas, nuffin’ so cool wound here. Weez glad yous can have dentals dun. It duz make fur a healffier kitty. Mommy wishes she kuld do sum of dat fur at least me. Sissy has so foo teefys left there’s not much dental to do. MOL
