Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Sammy is thankful he lives in  a warm house so he doesn’t need to wear this coat which is a little too small for him. I am thankful that I am getting a new sewing machine for Christmas and my Mom is letting me use it early to finish a few mats I promised to people. Then I will let her wrap it 🙂

Here is our poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this cute photo. I let my Sammy write this one being that his poem last week was so well received.

Sometimes we all feel small like an ant,
a mountain to climb that we just can’t.
All you need to do change your mind,
no need to stay confined.
One can accomplish anything,
except maybe become a king.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Sammy’s coat is adorable – too bad it didn’t come in a larger size because it looks VERY NICE and warm! We really TRULY love your poem today too Sammy – you did a great job with it and I know Angel Sammy would agree. WOW on the new sewing machine for your Mom…..as much work as she does on her machine it will be GREAT for her to have a brand new one.

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. thank you Mom for the sewing machine!!! 🙂

oops … sorry … was I not supposed to say that until after Christmas?? LOL

  3. Sammy is a handsome mancat. I’m glad he was a warm home.

Great on the new sewing machine. That will make life far easier with all the wonderful things you make.

I’m all ready for Friendly Fill-ins. I miss it when we’re on a cruise.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your mom. ♥

  4. We are having a nice blizzard right now, and I can just imagine how long it will take to get home tonight! But I’m thankful for my job, and I’ll listen to a audiobook on the way…so there’s no hurry.

  8. Sammy, you are so cute in your coat! Of course, you’re just as cute in the nude. And your poem is purrfection! You seem to always have the cutest, funnest little twists at the end of you poems. They always make us smile! And I can’t wait to see your fill-ins tomorrow!

  9. What a cute coat Sammy. I don’t care for clothes but I love hats. your poem was eight on Sammy. Budd says he became a king when he moved in here so it’s always possible if you try hard enough.

  10. How funny about the sewing machine, i’m just glad you have (or will have!) one. The last person who tried to teach me to sew made me promise i would never touch a machine again, i’m hopeless, and i greatly admire anyone who can sew.

    Very inspiring poem!

  11. We think your coat is cute, Sammy, but it is better to have a warm house. Our mom still has her old workhorse from 1976 (!), a Kenmore. She’s made her own clothes ever since she learned to sew.

  12. Sammy’s coat may be a bit small, but it sure looks terrific on him. A new sewing machine is a fabulous gift! We know you will but it to good use. We also enjoyed his poem. Ants definitely are the epitome of a “never give up” attitude. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  13. So happy that your Mom/Grammie is gifting you with a sewing machine. I know you more than miss having one. Sammy did very well with the Ant Poem. Sometimes I feel like a small ant (which being a small ant isn’t a bad thing if you move fast enough to keep from getting stepped on) but then I get outside and take a walk and I feel fine! Thankful for those feel good endorphins! I am thankful for 56 degrees this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. I got rid of the other comments being that this one finally showed up. I don’t know why that happens.
I wish I could motivate myself to go for a walk. I always feel better too, but I just can’t get myself out there. 56 is a heat wave around here 🙂 XO
