Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful for one-eyes Louie the Lobster. I got a little carried away with the silvervine and one of his eyes fell off. I am also thankful The Great One is coming to visit me today. We are going to have lots of fun and play dress up and Peppa the Pig. Then Mom and her are going to Build-A-Bear. I hope they buy me some purple sunglasses.Today there is a special and you pay your age to build one so she will only be $2 plus accessories.

Mom called dibs on taking The Great One to Build-A-Bear while she was still in her mommy’s belly.

This poem is for  Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo.

Games, rides, tasty food.
The carnival is in town.
Ferris wheel first please.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Oh that sounds like a wonderfully fun day! I hope that they get you the purple sunglasses and have a great time at Build-a-Bear. Our oldest daughter went there some time back with her boyfriend and got a little dragon-y thing called Toothless. It is really cute.

    Have a blessed day. 🙂

    1. They didn’t go because of the crowds 🙁 We hope you had a blessed day too. XO

  2. We’ve heard this build a bear thing somewhere befur, but we don’t know what it is. We hope ya’ll have fun. That’s purretty cheap fur a bear. Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

  3. Oh, i so want to take Emery to Build a Bear! She is only $2 so I will wait until they have another such special day. Let me know if it is fun. ☺ I have a review and giveaway on Friday but I’ll stop by to read the fill ins. ♥

  4. I would rather build a cat toy than a bear, but then I’m a tad prejudiced in favor of cats.
So, Louie lost and eye to silvervine… I’m trying to imagine how that could happen to a lobster…

    1. I would too, they do have cat toys to choose from 🙂 Joanie gets a little rowdy when she is on silvervine.

  5. My human should go pick up some sunglasses for me at the Glendale Build-a-Bear. She definitely won’t be building a bear today… it would cost more than they normally charge!

  6. I bought my little niece a “Build A Bear” at Exeter near me in the UK. She absolutely adored it! I hope you got your purple sunglasses – they would really suit you!

  7. Oh boy! Build-A-Bear! I bet you get some sunglasses out of that trip for sure. We love your poem too – the ferris wheel was always one of my Mom’s favorite things too (not counting all the food of course!).

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. They didn’t go because of the crowds. I will get my purple glasses though.

  8. Oh, your mom and The Great One are going to have so much fun, Joanie! We can’t wait to see you in purple sunglasses. And we think one-eyed Louie the Lobster still looks perfectly fun, even with just one eye. Angel Rosie had a canvas mouse toy that she loved. She had it for nearly her entire 21 years of life. After those 21 years, the mouse was down to no eyes, no nose, and only one ear. I still have it, of course, with all of Rosie’s keepsakes.

Your poem is perfect for this fun image! A Ferris wheel is about as risky as I’ll get when it comes to going on amusement rides. I can’t wait to read your fill-ins tomorrow! Happy Thursday!

    1. They didn’t go because of the crowds, we will go soon. That is sweet that you saved Rosie’s favorite toy. I have many toys saved from my angels. XO

  9. I hope you get those purple sunglasses. How fun.

Not participating in Friendly Fill-ins this week. We have a yacht club cruise this weekend.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your mom. ♥

  10. the build a bear store at the mall where we walk is having a HUGE promo today.
If you come with a child 4 years and under you get a bear for $4.00. I’m assuming it was widely promoted on social media. When we arrived at the mall today ~8:15 am (stores open at 10) there were at least 400 children and their parents all lined up in front of the store down many corridors and around the mall. I don’t know how in the world that store will have enough supplies to accommodate all that crowd. Some children will walk away disappointed.
    Hugs Madi and mom

    1. They didn’t, we didn’t go because they closed the line off at 300 long before we left to go. XO

  11. Sounds like a wonderful day is being planned out. We can’t wait to see what mom comes back with. Hopefully a big surprise for you. We hope mom buys you those purple sunglasses that you want. You are going to be styling in them. Have a great Thankful Thursday.

    1. They didn’t go because of the crowds. They will get me my shades when they do go though.

      1. It’s a shame about how crowded it was. At least they will get you your shades when they go. I’m sure you will be really excited about that. Can’t wait to see.

  14. BOL – we do a pretty good job of removing those excess parts like eyes and ears too.

Oh boy, we hope your Mom has better luck at Build-A-Bear than the folks around here. There are hundreds and hundreds of kiddos waiting in line for their turn on this special bargain day.

Woos – Lightning, Misty and Timber

  15. I’ve never been to Build-a-Bear, but a couple people have made bears for me over the years. Hope you had fun! 🙂

  16. Hope you had tons of fun with The Great one Joanie. Hope you got that Bear built. Can’t wait to see pictures. You have a great day, all of you.

  17. We’d never heard of this Build-A-Bear thing until today, as there was some sort of ruckus at one. We hope it isn’t yours! Hope your lobster gets an eye transplant. 🙂

  18. LOL! LOL… Joanie with you getting a little too enthusiastic on silvervine with Louie the Lobster. Maybe Louie needs a patch like CH got today on his eye!
Hope The Great One had fun playing dress up with you and Peppa Pig. I know your Mom will get The Great One back to Build-A-Bear when it isn’t so busy! And I know you will get your purple sunglasses! Carnival FOOD! Love carnival food!
    Good Night!

    1. We decided to wait until it is less crowded so it would be more enjoyable.

  19. Granny thought you were talking about the big lobsters, Joanie, so she was feeling sorry for it, she couldn’t see the one lying next to you. We’re now on the handy, so she needs some extra glasses?but she still hopes you find that eye..Extra Pawkisses???

  20. Poor Louie! Well, he is still better off then the lobsters I saw in a tank at the grocery store today!
