Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop and Sammy’s Poetry Day.

First, I have a question. Who told Joanie to have Gremmie guard her tent?

I am thankful that we have a lot of warm and soft places to snooze so I don’t need the tent.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day. We were asked to write a poem based on this photo.

Angry waves surround
pirates pillaging the ship
no help to be found

And the winner of the Valentine’s Giveaway is Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles.

And here are The Friendly Fill-Ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

  1. What a great HAIKU on the HIGH SEAS!!! Well done……….I think Gremmie is doing a great job guarding the tent….although I think if someone BIGGER than him decided to take over, he might get squished.

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. Congrats to Cuddlywumps. Love that picture and great poem. Well done. Gremmie, good for you guarding that tent. You all have a super day.

  3. I think you’re becoming outnumbered, Prancie. Now you have to wait for Joanie AND Gremmie to take their turns in the tent. Well, like you said, at least you have lots of other cozy spots to choose from! And, your haiku of a poem is fantastic!

  4. Congrats to the winner!
Joanie, that tent is yours forever now with Gremmie helping to guard it 🙂

the critters in the cottage xo

  5. Ha. We think Gremmie is guarding all on his own, we’re sure he’s very devoted to his Joanie. PS: we don’t think it’s a good idea to underestimate him. His kind DO have a certain rep y’know.

    Love the poem.

I’ll hook up with the Friday Fill-ins next week. We’re on a cruise this weekend.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to all the babies. ♥

  9. Either that Joanie is always thinking, or Gremmie took it upon himself to guard it for her! 🙂
Congrats to the Cuddlywumps crew on winning!

  10. Gremmie looks like he’s very happy in the tent – perfect resting place. Beautiful words that perfectly match the picture.
    Have a lovely weekend Ellen.

  11. Nice poem, i am scared for those being pillaged, though.

Gremmie is too cute to scare away any intruders.

  12. Joanie is special. What a great storyline, too. She & Gremmie are going to be stars!

Excellent job on the poem, too. Very well done.

The snowstorm has arrived. 6′-14′. I am still coughing and tired. I hope you are all well! Stay safe & warm. HUGS.

  13. Good going Cuddlywumps.

Your poetry was short but to the point. A pirate ship is a ship I would like to ride on someday.

    Thanks for the fill-ins.

    Jean

  14. Are you sure Gremmie is guarding the tent? It looks very cosy and warm inside and I have some questions marks about it…MOL 😀 Concats to the winner…and great Haiku too! Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 <3
