Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am thankful my mom and I got to spend time with the girls on Tuesday (they had a half day).

We made these for Valentine’s Day. Mine is on my purse and they put theirs on their back packs.

I played dolls with Typhoid Mary. I have never been a doll fan, but I am enjoying every last moment of it because she will age out of them soon- hopefully not as soon as her sister did. She had me record everything so when I upload it, I will let you know in case you want a chuckle. She says my doll voice sounds like Elmo.

No poem again. Soon.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. A Ted Talk that I found helpful was done by ______________________.
2. If I could make my own candy heart it would say ___________________.
3. I _________ early in the morning, but I _________ late at night.
4. _________ is what I love most about myself.

  1. Merci for the fill-ins, as usual, and mama actually loved dolls and then switched to tennis and swimming and vollyball and such…but a Betsy Wetsy was pretty cool, haha. Boy, does that date mama or WHAT?

  2. I can’t believe your niece thinks you sound like Elmo….tee hee. Thanks for introducing me to Ted Talks. I’ll be checking it out more now that I know what the heck it is! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

    Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)

  3. I love the bangle you made. When I was a child, I played with dolls for a while, but playing outside was more fun. I loved to ride my bike, and climb trees.

  4. Great crafting with the girls and your Mom. Years ago I made bead book marks. Got the idea
from a friend who made and gave me one. I loved my dolls even when I was a teenager, in that
I wanted to just keep them and I did.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That sounds fun. Glad you kept the dolls- I kept a lot of my stuffed animals. XO

  5. I was a doll girl for sure. I treated them like babies and as I got older I got the pretty little dolls all dressed up! Had me quite the collection.

  6. It’s those memories that you are making with the children that will follow them for the rest of their lives.
We didn’t see my aunt often, but I remember when she taught us curse words in Polish.
Remember being at the beach with my cousins a bazillion years ago as a kid, and I haven’t seen any of them in a very long time.
But, I remember the fun, and the laughter.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I hope they will have fond memories of me. I bet I know all the Polish curse words -my Grampa taught me. XO

  7. Mom likes your craft project. She thinks that is funny that your doll voice is like Elmo’s voice. Mom never remembers using a different voice for her dolls, but that took place a bajillion years ago. 8. The little Valentine’s Day zipper pulls—or fun anywhere decorations—are very cute! Fun to do on your half day together❤️ Can hardly wait to hear your Elmo voice, Ellen!

  9. That charm for your purse is really cute. Sounds like you had a good time with the kiddos. They grow up so fast, it’s wonderful that you spend this quality time with them.

  10. What fun charms! I hope you and your husband are close to finished with his sister’s house, it’s been taking a lot out of you.
