Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that Penelope has calmed down a lot over these past 2 weeks.

As you can see, she got on my hubby’s chair. I took this photo 2 days ago, the tree is put away now.  We are both able to pet her now and she has met most of the other cats without incident. Rudy is the instigator, so he gets locked in the bathroom when she is exploring.

Sorry, I skipped the poem this week.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. I am glad I got rid of ___________________________.
2. I wish I had kept ________________.
3. _________ would be _________ if _________.
4. _________ is too close for comfort.

  1. Oh, Penelope, you are a beauty and we are so glad you are socializing, especially on papa’s chair! He must be thrilled to be a chosen one….

  2. I had a feeling that Penelope would warm up to the hospitality in the Pilch household….she just needed some “adjustment” time. Glad she’s discovered her new Dad’s lap – that’s the PRIME spot in the house!

    Hugs, Pam

  3. My my, the things I miss when dad isn’t keeping up with all my furriends here. Looks like Penelope is getting more comfortable. I know dad thinks if I look at this picture enough times it’ll make me want to actually sit with him more than just on his footrest, but I don’t think it’s gonna work like that. Sorry I’ve been absent, and I’ll try to keep up a bit better. Hope you’re all staying warm up your way, Ellen!

  4. This is great advancements for Penelope. If she only has to be separated from one of your cats for now, I would say that’s also great news. She looks to be a sweetheart when she finally calms down completely

  5. Penelope this photo of you and dad is just precious. Yay you for being so brave and finger shaking at Rudy for stirring trouble.
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. Chaplin: “That’s excellent news! Welcome to the wonderful world of laps, Penelope!”
Oona: “Rudy! You are an instigator? So is Oona! Perhaps you and Oona should team up!”
    Charlee: “Perhaps not.”

  7. The bestest news about Penelope!!! She needed some time to figure out how things worked with the Meowing Crew. I am so glad you gave her a forever home, Ellen. Thank you for being there once again♥

  8. Penelope, you are a very brave Ladycat! I’m proud of you. Up there next to your Dad…you’ll be sleeping in his lap any day now. Maybe even today!

  9. Way to go Penelope, we’re all really proud of you! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
