Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! I know it is Phoebe’s Day, but I need to list my 3 thankfuls first. I am thankful that my niece introduced my Mom and I to pedicures in 2013 and now we got every 6 weeks, I am thankful Sammy didn’t pee on the couch today, and I am thankful that Phoebe is so good at posing for photos.

And now, here’s Phoebe!

Hi everyone! You are not seeing double. Joanie is a brat so Mom went and bought another scratcher. Actually, she bought 4 more because Petco had them on clearance for $3.

I got to see my Grammie on Tuesday and Wednesday. I love her so very much, even if she doesn’t always give me treats. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

And now for my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day. This week we could choose from four B words, including bananas.

Bananas
Bananas are a dangerous fruit.
if you slip on the peel , it won’t be a
hoot.

My Dad likes them for a snack,
but sometimes they turn black
so Mom makes a bread with chocolate chips
Forget that I want my bananas filled with catnips.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two. Thank you to all who participate.

  1. Wow, how cool to get all those scratchers on clearance! The only think my human saw on clearance when she was at the pet store this evening was some cat food. 🙁

  2. WOW on the scratcher deal! Now everyone who wanted one has one right? Love your banana poem too – some people really don’t like “nanners” but the nippy ones are fabulous AND nanna-pudding and nanna-bread make my Mom happy so I like them myself!

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. $3 scratchers? Jackpot! We don’t blame your mom for grabbing so many, Phoebe. Isn’t it nice to know that you have some backup scratchers? And we love your banana poem. That’s how I am, too – enjoy the bananas while they last, and when they turn black, make bread. And I add chocolate chips to my banana bread, too!

    1. It was like hitting the jackpot 🙂 I add pecans to the banana bread too- so tasty.

  4. Sure glad the Mom found those scratchers for you all. Looks like they are very popular. We should probably get some for the gang here. Have a great day.

  5. I too have my nails and toes done regularly too. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

    1. I don’t do my fingernails because I am a biter. I loves pedicures though 🙂

  6. Thanks for posting the fill-ins, Ellen.

How cool that you were able to get more scratchers for the kitties on mark-down.

Phoebe, I’m glad that you got to see Grammie twice so far this week. Grammies are very special people. 🙂 Your poem is cute. I love bananas with peanut butter and like banana bread, too.

Have a blessed weekend, all of you. 🙂

    1. Thank you, they were regularly $15. I have never had bananas with pb. We hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

    1. A recurring dream I have is having dinner with Courteney Cox.

    2. Turn your challenges into good stories about how you tried and failed, at least.

    3. My messy car is driving me crazy!

    4. Lately, I have been unfocused.

  9. Yum, a banana and peanut-butter sandwich! Never had one, until I met The Hubby and he turned me onto them. Oh, and peanut-butter and pickle sandwiches too…love those! Ya know what I turned him onto? Artichokes and pomegranates. So there!

    1. I heard Elvis liked banana and pb sandwiches too. I think the artichoke one sounds best 🙂

  10. We make a face whenever our mom lets us sniff a real banana. We don’t like the real ones. Score on the scratchers! We’d make our mom go to Petco right now if it weren’t so stupidly hot.

Mum likes bananas but we prefer the catnip ones too 🙂

  14. What a great deal on the scratchers! TBT buys some stuff for us when he first sees them, but he loves clearance stuff too. He figures that if it was so good last year, it is also pretty good now.

Like a scratcher he bought years ago. When he saw them on clearance recently, he bought a bunch of the refill pads.

    1. Simon is a good boyfriend to defend Joanie. She is a sweet kitty and sends love and kisses. XO and Penny sends some to you Toby.

  15. Excellent poem, Phoebe. Exactly the same thing happens around here. And our mom uses chocolate chips in her banana bread as well. We know there is a new nip nanner from BlogPaws waiting fr us, but Mom hasn’t broken it our yet. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  16. Petcretary would have bought all of those scratchers, too if they were going that cheap!!!
That was a wonderful poem! Angel-Minko had a nip nanner and he ripped it apart. Go figure. The nip in it was delish he said…

    1. There is something about those Yeowww! brand nip nanners and other toys. I wonder what kind of nip that is.
