Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am thankful that I got to read Emmy’s book at The Great One’s school. It was nice to meet her class and I recognized many from basketball and the playground. I am also thankful for my niece ( today is her 35th birthday). She has a great job, wonderful husband and is an amazing mom to her 3 kids. I am very proud of her.

( Angel Emmy with her book back in 2019).

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

Decided against taking the highway.

Thought it would be quicker to go my way.
On a boat, no traffic to get stuck.
Well, isn’t this just my luck?
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Sounds like a wonderful time, Ellen! How 😎 cool to see Emmy with her book! I loved that book! Funny poem too! XO

  2. Wonderful poem and we are getting your BOOK, what a great title! I wonder if anyone has ever held his/her/its nose around ME? And yes, you have a lovely niece and kiddoes!

  3. Angel Emmy skunked everyone by showing them she was a beautiful cat. It’s nice that she ended up inside the pages of a book and their children are reading the book.

  4. Chaplin: “We love Angel Emmy’s book! Charlee reads her copy every day. She too is always saying she is not a skunk.”
    Oona: “Charlee is a skunk?!”
Charlee: “I AM NOT A SKUNK!!!”

  5. That was nice that you could read Emmy’s book at The Great One’s school.

  6. Mom used to love to read to the grands’ classes when they were younger. And Happy Birthday to your niece.

  8. Belated Birthday Greetings to your niece!
What fun to be able to read a book you wrote to youngsters! Maybe they will love kitties of their own when they grow up.

Your poem is great! Traffic jams or in this case a barge lookup are the pits…

  9. I let James have Angel Emmy’s book, but the other one is here to stay. Mine.
