We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Brody is thankful that he is still spry enough to climb the grandfather clock.

I am thankful Emmy was able to see the internist. She has pancreatitis. She has had that in the past, so I wanted to get her checked right away before it got out of hand. There is no treatment for it, but fluids are usually given which can’t be done with her congestive heart failure. She has a probiotic, pain meds, anti-nausea meds and the Miritaz to stimulate her appetite. I keep syringing water into her mouth to be sure she gets enough fluids ad I was told to hold off on the Lasix for now. She will get a recheck on Monday. I am thankful she is such a good traveler and a good patient.

  2. Pancreatitis is awful to deal with…we send many pawyers and POOTP at this time. Glad you were able to get her seen by the specialist, and hope there will be steady improvement.

    Brody is an acrobatic athletic rascal! Our Opa, who was a clock maker…would not have been amused, LOL!

  3. Brody is quite the climber! Sorry that Emmy has pancreatitis, purrs for her recovery. We did get our diabetic kitty Minx through an episode of pancreatitis. XO

    1. Thank you. I am glad you were able to get Minx through it. It gives me hope we can get Emmy through despite her kidney and heart failure. XO

  4. Oh, Emmy, our hearts go out to you, you sweet kitty and hope you are not in too much pain and that your meds work. So sorry for your troubles, little Emmy.

  11. Brody you are way high up!! Could you get down alone. Angel Madi always managed to get up on ours but evidently forgot how to get down. Hugs Emmy

  30. I’m glad to hear you know what you’re dealing with, now, but I wish it was more treatable. You’re taking good care of her.
