Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Gremmie is thankful his mom came home right after her vet appointment.  And I am thankful Joanie has gained about half a pound since last month. And she may not be deaf, she has wax plugging her ears, so I have to put ear cleaner in them twice a day. I hope it helps so she can at least hear a little. I am also thankful that our vet is so accommodating. I showed up a day early for the appointment, but they squeezed her in.

I skipped the poem again this week- sorry.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. I think _______________ is a waste of money.
2. Lately, I spend a lot of time ______________________.
3. _________ is the craziest thing on my bucket list.
4. _________ is a holiday that I’d like to create or see more celebrated.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I am glad I found another good vet after my other one left. XO

  3. MOL! I had to have my ears cleaned out from a wax impaction yesterday! We are ear wax partners!!

Glad Joanie gained some weight and we hoe she’ll soon be hearing better.

(I think my comments for Tuesday got eaten or sent to spam, because I don’t see it.)

  4. SO glad that Gremmie might hear better. Anthros certainly do after a nice clean-out! Hope all goes well with the drops! And we are thankful for that and for YOU and all your fur-babies, oh, and of course the grand-nieces, hubby, etc.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I hope so too. And I am thankful for your friendship. XO

  5. That is good news for Joanie. Eric had the same problem with wax. He once seemed to go totally deaf overnight so we took him to the vet. he said there was wax deep down so gave us something to clean them twice a day. Several days later a lump that felt as hard as stone came out and his hearing came back. When I told the vet and said I couldn’t understand why he went totally deaf when the lump came out and was in only one ear, he said that sometimes happens with cats. He did tell me the name for it but I can’t remember now. We were very happy for Eric that he got his hearing back.

  6. Oh it would be great if Joanie could hear a bit. Wax is bad for humans AND kitties – we all need to hear a bit! Also happy she’s gained some weight. Paws crossed she keeps gaining but LOSES the wax! See you tomorrow for fill-ins.

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam

  7. I sure hope cleaning out that wax helps with the hearing, that would be so nice. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  8. I hope the cleaning of the ears works.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Great fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. xoxo ♥

  9. I love hearing good news, and gaining weight and a solution to Joanie’s hearing problem is GREAT news!

  10. Java Bean: “I’m with Gremmie, it’s always better when Mama—”
    Charlee & Lulu: “Or Dada!”
    Java Bean: “—is around.”
Chaplin: “Keep that weight on, Joanie, and I hope you don’t get too upset about having stuff put in your ears. It’ll help you hear when it’s time for dinner!”

  11. Glad things are better for Joanie. Speaking as a human with ear wax issues, it can definitely affect the hearing. Hope that helps.
