Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful for last Saturday, a truly perfect day. My whole family went out to lunch for my mom’s birthday then came back to our house for cake. Joanie is thankful she got to have a play date with The Great One and Typhoid Mary after we had cake.

Joanie is a little miffed that she lost the pet store costume contest to a guinea pig- that is worse than losing to a dog.

Trouble decided to spin the wheel for her fortune:

I skipped the poem this week.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1, My main concern right now is ______________________.
2. I plan to _____________________for Halloween this year.
3. If I saw a ghost, I would _________.
4. This time of year, _________ is a personal tradition of mine.

  1. Awww, Joanie…that is too terrible to lose pout to a rodent. They need separate classes for dogs, cats and other small pets…you need to protest with letters and maybe get other customers to do the same. Its worth a try so maybe you can win next year.
Glad your family had such a good time celebrating a loved one’s birthday. That is always special and memorable.

    1. Joanie thanks you for the pity. Yes, it was nice and a special birthday- the big 80. XO

  2. I am glad you all had a good day for your mom’s birthday. Never mind Joanie, all of your friends think you are much better than a guinea pig.

  3. So happy to hear everyone enjoyed celebrating your Grandmom’s birthday…….but very sorry to hear Joanie lost the costume contest to a guinea pig! Booooooo!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. I voted for you in the costume contest. I thought sure you would win it. You even wore Marie Antoinette’s wig!

    1. Penny thanks you. She didn’t mind losing to Reesie, but Joanie was mad she lost the pet store contest.XO

  5. 1. My main concern right now is family illness.
    2. I plan to do nothing at all for Halloween. No time, and no wish to. I’ll eat your candy corn, tho.
    3. If I saw a ghost, I would be totally amazed. Hope it would be family or friends.
    4. This time of year going out with the real camera, not the phone, is a personal tradition of mine.

    1. Thank you for your answers. I am sorry about the family illness though. And this is the best time for photos- I love fall. XO

  6. I’m glad your mom had a great birthday. Such precious times to enjoy.

I’m sorry Joanie lost to a guinea pig. Not fair.
