Thankful Thursday

HI everyone! I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.I got to spend time with Grammie on Wednesday. I love her so very much! I helped her and Mom stuff eggs for “The Great One”. They are going to have an egg hunt with her today because they won’t get to see her on Easter. Mom also got her a shopping cart, but I think Mom got it for herself to torture us with.

Today is K day on the A-Z Challenge and K is for Kiss ( a Hershey’s one).

Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter R. And here is my poem:

Revenge
Revenge can be sweet
even better than a treat.
I am sick of the twice daily wet whillies
they give me the chillies
and all these trips to the vet
I just can’t forget.
You better watch out
I will get even without a doubt.

My revenge is going to be telling you all some of the dumb things my Mom has done recently like eating moldy bread. And remember the Mother’s Day invitation she showed you last week ? Well, she didn’t realize she needed to type the information into the card so she sent Grammie, her sister and niece an invitation from Susan and Sharon to go to brunch at the Bluff Lake Cafe. Luckily, they all know she is a ditz and figured out it was from her.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

1. An Easter (or Passover) tradition I have is ______________________________.

2. My favorite flavor of ice cream is ____________________________.

A kiss for kitty and I’ll take the wet or chocolate kind. I’ll never turn down either. 🙂 The poem is cute and I’d worry about the last two lines….

  5. Oh my goodness, that shopping cart (and its adorable model) is too cute! And the crocheted Hershey’s Kiss is purrfect! Of course, your poem is fantastic as well, as are the fill-ins. I always look forward to the fill-ins, every single week. Purrs!

  6. We love that shopping cart! We wish We had one and that Mummy would take Us shopping!

What is an egg hunt? We have never had one of those!

    1. Thank you 🙂 An egg hunt is when you fill plastic eggs with candy and coins and stickers then you hide them ( usually outside, but we did ours inside) and have kids find them.

  7. The Hershey Kiss may well be my favorite! Happy you saw Grammie and that she is going to get to hunt for eggs today… how fun! I could have easily done what your Mom did with the invitations… my mind is always befuddled.

    1. He has a blue one and a green one, the blue shows up red-especially fun at Christmas.

  8. Ha ha – I’m laughing at, and trying to figure out, that top picturte. It looks like a well –covered humam litter box. Am I right? Now why is it covered in toilet paper? Hmmmm, tis a mystery. Oh yes, I love, love, love your shopping cart.

    1. No, it is a small cat tree with a towel on it 🙂 You have a good imagination though.

  9. Awww, you are all so cute.
I’m so glad you got to see Grammie. We all know you love her very much.
I always enjoy your poems. They make me laugh out loud most of the time.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

  10. Thanks for the excellent laugh about Mom Ellen. Mom really did LOL. The shopping cart is so cute. Bet she makes all of you push it around. That “kiss” came out great. Phoebe, your poem is purrfection! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  11. Wow! A kiss. That’s amazing. Very cute. And nice poetry. Sorry about the health issues and vet visits. That stinks.

As for the fill-ins, I can’t really answer numbers one and two. I celebrate my faith in my heart and am not a fan of ice cream. However, my favorite spring flower is the lilac and my favorite memory is getting the fun baskets my mother used to create for Easter even into her childrens’ adulthood. Happy Blogging!

  15. Hello There,
Oliver here from the Tribe of Five. I am so thankful for our fireplace. Spring isn’t here completely yet and there’s nothing I love more than warming my belly by the fire. And by the way….I find your purrrretry very inspiring (and I feel the same way about the place with the people in the white coats, although it’s nicer now that we have fearless visits).
    Purrs and Head Bonks,
    Oliver

  16. Sorry you are still getting ear drops, but i know they are doing you some good or your mom and the vet wouldn’t insist. It’s a fun poem, too!

    1. Thank you 🙂 You should definitely get it out for Miss Mudpie, she could store toys in it.

  17. We’re so with you on the too-many Stabby Place visits. And yeah…. that shopping cart… it’s all about being a good sport sometimes, with the hoomins.
