Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

I am thankful that my Sammy’s blood work was good. He had a recheck today to be sure the increased thyroid dose is enough and it is- and his kidney values were good ( sometimes thyroid masks kidney issues). He also gained a little weight. ( Knock on wood 3 times, I am superstitious and don’t want to jinx him).

I am thankful that my vet called and is reopening next week. I felt like I won the lotter when I got that call. I am going to keep Sammy at this new place because I have learned not to keep all my eggs in one basket.

We are joining their poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day.

Last week I had plenty of room

now I feel like I am still in the womb
I think this is made for a doll
maybe I had better crawl.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.  The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

  1. I’m glad to hear that Sammy’s bloodwork was good and he gained weight! Both are good news! XO

  2. That is great news both about Sammy’s tests and your vet reopening. Ours are still shut down, and I will be SO glad when they reopen.

    1. Thank you. I am sorry yours is still shut down. I would think they should be considered essential.

  3. I am glad Sammy’s blood results have come back good. Cute poem. The baby doesn’t look happy being in the cart.

  4. Go Sammy! We’re glad to hear things are looking up. Dad and I never do the fill-ins, but he says his answer to your #4 is to “live simply so that others may simply live”.

  5. Those are most wonderful thankfuls, hooray Sammy and hooray for the Vet reopening. Cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  6. That’s good news about, Sammy! We’re still looking for a new vet and found a mobile vet that has a good reputation. Most likely, we are going to give this idea a try. Cute poem!

  10. I’m glad your clinic reopened. ~hugs~ Hurray for good news! Best wishes to you and all your precious family members, furry and otherwise.

  11. Aw….glad Sammy was getting some good results. Nicks Rose had kidney disease but she did well for quite some time. Just like people, our fur babies have to suffer with illness too. I just do not like it. My friend Linda had a cat named Charlie. He lived with Thyroid disease for a very long time. He always acted like such a kitten. (Smile) ALways love the photos shares. Take care and thanks for always doing the fill in’s.

    1. Thank you. I have had some cats live wquite a while with failing kidneys by giving fluids and I have had many on thyroid pills, it is very common. Glad you like my photos. XO

  12. Yiprr for Sammy’s bloodwork. It’s always praying on one’s mind….what if things are not good. Great to get positive results.

Your poem, though short, said it all. Very well done.
