Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. My Mom ( AKA Grammie) thanks you all for the birthday wishes yesterday.

I am thankful for my sweet Joanie. She gave me a scare over the weekend. She was vomiting anything she ate and then she would not eat at all. And I know when Joanie doesn’t want to eat, she is very sick. Actually, she has never not wanted to eat. I tried to give her pepcid and anti-nausea meds, but she vomited those up too. She finally ate some baby food and held it down.  I was able to get her a vet appointment Monday afternoon so I brought her in to be on the safe side. She didn’t have blood work as she had it a month ago and was fine. She got an anti nausea shot and so far, so good. Knock on wood three times.

I am skipping the puzzle today. I think I used up a bunch of brain cells worrying about my Joanie.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I might______________________.
2. I want to ________________________ before fall is over.
3. If my house were haunted, _________.
4. _________ is the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

  7. We are sending you and Joanie all the purrs and prayers we can do to help her feel better so you do too. It is so stressful when our fur family are ill

  8. I know that feeling. Cat not well. My cats ALWAYS get sick on the weekend. We are lucky now as we have a few vets that are open Saturdays and for a few hours on Sundays.

  9. We hope those meds keep working for Joanie. Timber gives Mom a fright all the time too. He has a sensitive tummy, but he seems to respond well to Pepcid, at least so far. All paws crossed for continued good health for Joanie.

  11. Glad to hear Joanie is doing better! I hope it continues. We had to take Cookie back to the vet today as her asthma is acting up again. She’s home and doing okay. She got a shot and I have meds to start giving her tomorrow.

  12. A day late but I can see everything. I hope Joanie is feeling much better now.

  13. We hope Joanie is continuing to feel better! It is SO stressful to have one of our babies ill…I can’t focus on anything else when that happens.

  14. I am so sorry that Joanie was sick and certainly understand. Pierre was sick all last week and had tests, x-rays and blood work. We are still waiting on some of the results so paws crossed. Praying Joanie’s shot keeps her feeling better.
